Limited shares - nonsense. This isn't Berkshire...the price is £19 not £19,000.

There's plenty of shale company Q2 results coming in this week. So far it still looks like shale can't make any money and WTI is about $5 lower so far in Q3 on average. They can't pay their interest charges...so expect consolidation and CAPEX cuts, resulting in production reductions.

Has anyone quote a potential value of the sale? I haven't seen any or their production...but profit was something like £150m.
I'm guessing it's multibillion...

Did they mention carbon sequestration? Because that changes the calculation completely in the viability of fossil fuels.

It's CEO has just resigned too, Centrica's that is.

We'll see in the next week or two a little more information, at least if shale is stable at this PoO.
Lots of companies will be releasing their Q2 results so we'll see if they're making money or not...

Shale is CAPEX intensive and debt is cheap, that's why it's thrived. We just don't know if it's efficient enough!

I think he's gone mad...surely that means something must be happening soon. Bizzarely this is one of the most active boards I check in on but the company has had minimal news for months...

Mytton that's what I'm thinking. Profit should be c.50% of current market cap for a year, so I make that about 80p/month. Just have to be patient.

I bought a few more anyway, I'm tempted to sell up some others...but it can't be too good to be true, there are always risks

I hope so cold Joe. I can't understand how the price is staying here, it's at practically the free cash in the bank. Seemingly no value attributed to 22k production which in itself must be worth £100-150m MC, so my guess stays at mid 20s after things settle or dividends are paid.

As part of the relist there didn't seem to be much forward looking stuff, at least no major things that I picked up on.

What are people expecting and when?

I'm expecting a few different things, but no idea which will be first (probably the dividend though):
A buyback or dividend, assuming there's no large acquisition
A reissue of forecast costs/OPEX of the combined company's fields being lower. This would also result in increase of recoverable reserves and pushing back of decommissioning dates and hence financial requirements.
More aquisitions as we have so much cash available.

That's some good analysis SpruceGoose2, I'm mostly in agreement.
The only bone I can pick is the implication that we're one more drill failure from our chair falling over. Although I confess I don't know how many legs your chair has!
When we lost 10% after the Warwick well wasn't a success it was most likely the market ratcheting down its immediate development and practically accessible reserves number. So far the SP is still saying this company is a big success and has down distance to run as things are derisked. I don't think it's challenging the success of the EPS and it's ability to generate a decent turnover.

There's no perfect way to do it. But I'd have thought they'd pseudo split the fund for the period of the shares being frozen, as it's not fair on the incumbent holders for anyone to buy in at that point based on the last price of RRE.

Their 'ramps' must still be echoing through time!

Do you know who has bought the shares tindrum? And do you know what that might mean for the future of the company?
For once in a tread there really is a need to match buyers and sellers with a negotiated price.

For now, I'll just be happy with the relist and share price bump! Will take the prospectus on board and see what I think from there. Although I'd expect what you say could be a reasonable plan, there is sufficient cash for that!

Same for me, Malcy indicated a couple of weeks and he'd clearly talked to someone. Money seems like the day to do it and all the other RNSs and end of years reports are out of the way...

In my mind OPEC are expecting shale to tail off because of high debt. I think that will be true for now. What's interesting is seeing how much patience they have until this starts happening, or how quickly and drastically this does start happening. If nothing changes by the end of this year then according to that article they can cut again for another year but after that they'll probably have to do something more drastic, like try to knock shale out again or in all likelihood the cabal will disintegrate.
