When do the i3e drill results come in?

Considering all the talk here is of sustained selling pressure why have RRE not proposed a larger special dividend?

The advantage would be that essentially the dividend would have 'sold' the shares for the sellers, by reducing MCap and giving them cash. This would be a way to jump to the point where the portfolio % is now low enough to continue to hold rather than sell.

The fact the announced dividend is coming very soon is positive in this sense and the seller could factor that in. The reason not to do a larger divi would be they have something to buy coming along or just really want to keep the powder dry. It's that or there just isn't a big seller that RRE are aware of and this SP is the market price at the moment.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

It's absurd to say there no news.
Clearly we have 2 drill results to talk about, the ongoing EPS performance and our future plans developing with both of those two points in mind.

Do we know if RRE do actually publish the date in advance? I can't see anything on the website that suggests they do.
Also in the interview with Malcy 2 weeks until interim results was said, which I think takes us to tomorrow!

There'd need to be that level of magnitude of news to change expectations so much so seems plausible. Whether it is accurate or not is another matter.
ME risk should still be priced in and we're still yet to see the supply/demand balance prior to the KSA attack. I anticipate another draw tonight considering the trend over the last few months. Just waiting for that evidence that shale is dropping off - that'd give more sustainable long term price support.

This is exactly what I was saying before about the SP and was pooh poohed for it.
About 1/3 of our MC is related to our current production, hence big swings in PoO don't really impact us much.
We are valued on the promise of future production and future prices, both of which are uncertain....only time will help us get the future possibilities added to the SP.

It looks to me to be restrained by the selling pressure...still an increase is an increase.

DK, you're calling out fake news and then you bring up building 7! There's a clear plausible explanation of why that building collapsed. If you choose to ignore that or want a more complicated dark explanation then you go for it. Why don't you read up about structural engineering and the design of the building?
Then you make up another conspiracy theory. Why would SA destroy 50% of their own production to increase the PoO by 20-100%. In the best case their they have the same revenue, plus plenty of repair work to do...oh and lost market share and the Aramco IPO shot to pieces. The law of logic must have changed for that to be true!
Also, to the oil bears here if OPEC wanted to pump more they could have done that before this incident. If they break up OPEC agreements then SA will just open all the taps as soon as they can and PoO will crash again...the reason for OPEC is to avoid that scenario (unless it's intentional). Of course OPEC could fill some of the gap temporarily but SA have said they I'll reserves.

Considering how the price has been held so steady it must be rules the seller has set keeping it there. It does make me wonder if the sellbot has algorithms to respond to upward price pressure and get a better price for the client....

Hi Ug + I have the same feeling about Cali...too much of a delay for it to be good news and diminishing likelihood of them having met expectations. Brace for the worst and hope to have good news!

We talked about this a little on the SQZ board and agreed it was probably unlikely...even though I'd like to see a combined company!
Maybe something like West Newton would be a good buy...there is another major trying to sell of its N.Sea portfolio to find US shale I'm sure, I just can't remember which one (were BP also?) Either way it sounds like there are plenty of assets for sale!
