I do think shale oil output will not grow this year...capex is down, drill count is down, frac spreads are down and DUCs are down.
It does take a while for all these changes to come out the end as total production numbers though.
My conclusion is that now or some time in the next few months is the perfect time to buy some fields!

I don't doubt the virus is real though, the accuracy of the numbers reported on the other hand are questionable. However, China can't hide the results of other countries and that leaks significant data which will show what infection rates are.

The big benefit for the PMO deal is that it was backdated to I think Jan 2019 and they could then use their tax rebates there. That would all be the equivalent of buying the assets plus the cash value of 1.5years of 23kbopd taxes paid. That probably explains why it was a little on the high side.

Rookie, - I haven't got my head around it completely either but I think the SQZ 25kboepd would be equivalent to something like 12kbopd if their assets were like those PMO are buying. It's all about the gas and the price you get for 1boe is not the same as 1bbl.

I like SQZ but the 25k/35k are misleading figures because of the gas component, when you're thinking about valuations of similar fields which have sold.
If anything SQZ should be buying RRE!

To buy a whole company you probably have to pay over the odds. A large company looking to exit the N.Sea look much more attractive and are more competitively priced.

Haggis the EU won't allow parts of countries to leave and stay in the EU, so it is accurate. If they did then the Spanish and many other countries would be very unhappy as it's one of the sticks to beat their own successionist movements with.

Real figures, out of date, what are you on EV?
Are you suggesting the company is lying to us and the OGA? And further suggesting that they have a known problem which they have not announced to the market against the commitments they made previously...and that they will have to eat their words about coning previously stated?
I think the more likely explanation is that the water cut fluctuates a bit, as expected in a young well while testing different flow rates, and there is nothing to worry about.
I guess some people like conspiracy theories...although in fairness sometimes they're true and sometimes companies lies to investors. However, if you think that you should be out of here rather than trying to play the good Samaritan. All in all it suggests you have an agenda to be negative on this share.

The important question is why would you be able to buy stock at a discount so quickly after the raise and director purchases? My answer to that at the moment isn't as positive as yours clearly.

And what are you saying about continues to climb? We've been falling for the last 4 months now...unless you're talking about the last week's minor increase?

I'm not completely negative on this share but some of the ramping here is pure irresponsible.

They went to the market and raised at a significant discount to the price at the time and since then the price had dropped again significantly. If they needed more money now there's no chance they'd get a premium on the current price.

I'm not sure what their logic is but despite the support of Greta and 'the message' (whatever that may be, as personally I haven't quite deciphered it yet), I haven't seen it change the behaviour of the younger generation.
They still don't bother to vote, and for consideration of the impacts on this share they are still massively driving oil usage. Are they handing back their mobile phones and playstations? Are they really going to give up their dreams of international travel and holidays? Are they saying no to imported Chinese good and food from all over the world? Good luck to them if they do, I just haven't seen much of the change needed myself though.

Agreed I think accelerate the programme was quite a heavy bit of spin. The raise was to save the 2 projects, that's probably why it had to be at such a discount (as well as the size of the raise). Time will tell if anything can be accelerated, at the moment since the raise things have either been put back (WN wells) or dropped (WN EWT).

If you look at the placing leaked presentation already some of the key deadlines have been out back 1Q or so...also further unnecessary stuff has been added and yet the actually drill results for both key assets have not been clearly shared. There's no coherent plan for either asset, to take them to production, and therefore they aren't really investible for a 3rd party. And that explained why, despite some seemingly very positive results, it feels like we're back to step one and yet again waiting for 3 months to actually get some well tests completed!

If A2 would be unsuccessful then the best approach is to avoid doing a test and drill more wells? Sounds pretty worrying to me.
If it is better the drill further wells and not test then I'd like to hear that from the company with an explanation as to why, along with the timelines. It's not too much to ask is it, considering this asset is talked up so much?
