Hi all, good summary crumbs. This has been a bottom drawer hold for me for a few years now and topped up recently. Given all the talks about universal vaccines, how does the competition landscape look like? Do DNA vaccines offer more than mRNA or recombinant? Is single dose vaccine likely for scancell offering?
Seems that all the announced partners are over multiB market cap. And collabs over years.
AMS announcement is a curious one for me on many levels (eg; emerging tech but John Noble recommending AMS products to our customers).
...However, VCSELs remain an emerging technology for automotive applications ***where characterization for different use-cases is still ongoing.***
- 3 yr collab
- automotive use - can someone enlighten whether different use cases here meant within automotive or non-automotive.
- ahead of competition for sure.
“which for GM, includes the electronic controller, camera, and integrated Infrared Illuminators in the steering wheel light bar.”
Which for GM....- this RNS spells it out. We now get details like this which may be a differentiator with other DMS products.
Camera... rather simplistic.
But hopefully this puts to bed worries about we’ve lost GM.
This voice activation/lip reading by Sony, Cerence Look and it’s patent all point towards gaze tracking having more use than just DMS. I’m wondering how the partnership might work. For example we are in S class and SEYE in EQS (Colin’s EETimes article). Presumably both will use Cerence Look. Does that mean we may be in EQS too or Cerence also has partnership with SEYE?
Hi TLS, I’m still on this one.
Is this still part of the 3 pillars and likely to be pillar 3 or how does it work?
Been looking at Cerence impressive growth over last 12m. I can see it’s riped for takeover and Colin has speculated as such - Microsoft was mentioned.
TLS..., sorry just to clarify.
When OmniV signs a deal with other DMS providers, will that option then have the SEE IP in it?
I just need to correct any misunderstanding on my part.
I for one didn’t think a misunderstanding on a bb like that could have caused that spike.
Terry, that slate.com article is powerful in its message. I wasn’t aware of the court ruling in Munich — seems like that’s the end of that.
I like this bits most...
“ Most importantly, NHTSA should finally launch an investigation into Autopilot and FSD. The central question is whether the pattern of driver misuse of those technologies represents a defect, which could prompt a recall.”
It is a defective system.
