I'm not having sales from a pilot plant as 'true commercialisation' . It's a good indicator but that's all it is. We thought a few years ago that true commercialisation was leasing units out through Speedy but that could have worked out better.

If this 'new' board became a place where shareholders could swap information, exchange views in a civilised manner, post interesting and relevant items and generally get along?

Obviously that won't happen because the usual suspects who are utterly incapable of debate will be here very shortly, no doubt, to peddle their one-sided view, to never get anything right and to insult anyone who has an opinion that deviates, however minimally, from theirs.

I'm doing the exact opposite of rehashing old news! I'm asking what, if any, USPs our fuel cells have that will generate sales. Do you know the answer? Because if you do you certainly haven't posted it. Some waffle about convenience doesn't cut it.

Paolo. We know nobody is buying yet. JW has said they only plan to produce 15 units this year and there have been no announcements of any sales - which clearly would be price sensitive as one would hope they would be commercial .

The reasonable assumption is that those 15 units will be available via Speedy (or Tamgo I suppose) so they won't even be sold (only to a JV so we'd be paying ourselves in large part).

JW has said that as far as he's concerned (unlike his predecessor) an order book means what it says rathe than being a vague expression of interest.

Dear God! None of us ever have access to the books! Twice a year we'll get the chance to look at some out of date numbers, and that's it bar, hopefully, some announcements re material commercial orders!

Those out of date numbers have minimal relevance at this stage of the game as what we are betting on is future success. It has become quite simple for me - this is a binary bet on the commercial success of the cracker tech in various forms

That is why this is a debating forum - where balanced views aer welcome and one eyed ones are pointless, nay counter-productive.

As we stand we are yet to sell a single fuel cell on a commercial basis and only plan to manufacture 15 this year -which does not suggest a flood of demand waiting to be unleashed.

Our key partnerships (unless and until the ones with Speedy and Tamgo prove otherwise) are all to do with cracking - S&P/ICL/Komatsu

Convenience is useful but it doesn't trump cost if the cost difference is significant.

I recall posting after the IM Meeting headed by Rendall and (the completely pointless) Bullard before Wilson arrived that it felt like the FC business was dead and we were now a cracker provider and despite being ridiculed by the usuals over that view I'm yet to see anything to suggest that I was definitely wrong.

Do we have a USP now?

It used to be that they had minimal need for precious metal so were significantly cheaper than competitors (allegedly), and that they could cope with materially lower grade hydrogen which again made them cheaper (allegedly).

We know now that the alleged cheapness from those days was a wild and outrageous fallacy; that doesn't matter now - it's in the past.

It has become very clear that Geopura has stolen a march on us with their Sunbelt deal. Our deal with Speedy in respect of cells already out there is of no relevance at all to the future and the fact that we only intend to produce 15 of the new versions this year doesn't smack of big deals waiting to happen.

So - what is it that any potential significant purchaser/lessor of our fuel cells, when they are CE marked, will get from them that they can't get from anyone else's? Is it that post the re-engineering and the 85% cost reduction that they will again be cheaper than the competition? Or is it that if we can produce the fuel through the crackers we just become a convenient one stop shop?
