Getting Over-excited about LinkedIn posts30 Oct 2025 09:50
!!!!!!!!!
I've saved my exclamation marks for the text for fear of seeming like an ADHD riddled toddler. LI is generally a free tool, I presume other than free trials only recruiters ever pay Premium, for PR purposes which are often frustrated by the hopeless social media algorithms which point users to all sorts of irrelevant stuff.
I'm currently trying to promote my nascent hobby business via LinkedIn (and other channels) by pumping out material once a week to build up some awareness and contacts to get bookings for spring and summer 2026 but we'll see if it works later. It costs me nothing but hopefully builds and maintains a following who might place orders. Is this all AFC is doing? I'd think that they are fishing in a very different market to mine given I'm looking for social event bookings that might come in at about £1k in total; they certainly won't be getting orders on the back of a few posts.
We are highly unlikely to learn anything material from AFC's socials but today's effort does beg some very obvious questions.
It says the units 'were' deployed and the trial 'successfully demonstrated'... Now, unless the poster is just poor at language that suggest that the trial is over. So, why is that the case? Obviously work on the LTC is a very long way from finished so why are the units not still in use? And the trial, from AFC's perspective, has a single purpose - to generate orders. Has it? Will it? Are there yet more trials (viz the Acciona model)? This is such a long term project that there can be no reason not t place orders for deliver post the Volex reboot if they are wanted - unless the new units will need trialling again - it wouldn't be a surprise really!
