Well done for admitting to a mistake, Stefan. There are plenty on here who could learn from that.
By definition we, as shareholders, have to support JW's decision to hire Walker. After all, it's not a democracy.
But it is reasonable to have doubts. One has to assume that he was instrumental in coming up with the ludicrous target prices that Peel Hunt have suggested over the years and the only way those could have been calculated was to have accepted Bond's spoutings at face value without any form of critical analysis - and he was supposed to be an analyst. That, frankly, suggests a lack of basic competence in that role
It would have taken one utterly basic question to realise that the so called order book was a nonsense - what is the cost of production of a unit? Because once that was known it was clear that there was no prospect of sales.
I'm sure he has something to offer, but providing checks and balances would not, prima facie, appear to be a strength
