We have developed what we are told is world leading tech to crack ammonia into hydrogen and nitrogen. What happens to the nitrogen? There are potential commercial uses for it but is it just released into the atmosphere? Reports vary on how bad a thing that is.

And re Komatsu. Why is there a need to integrate cracker tech into a Komatsu diesel ICE if that ICE runs on ammonia?

It's a shame that it needs to be said but these are just honest questions to which I am sure there must be straightforward answers.

Is it a good thing that AFC are trying to communicate with retail shareholders - YES

Is an RNS-R announcement the quickest, cheapest and most efficient way of doing so - YES

Is this a market moving announcement? - NO (It wouldn't be an RNS-R announcement if it was)

Does it indicate confidence in the products? - YES

The relationship between ABB & AFC died years ago.

This is what happens when you think AI is a reliable source of factual information and rely on it unquestioningly.

AFC and ABB did indeed announce a strategi partnership in December 2020 and planned to have units deployed the year after. Obviously that never happened and the partnership has long since died.

And if you don't believe me then listen to what JW had to say on the subject in the Q&A on the last presentation when he confirms that they are just a 1.6% shareholder now and have no ongoing relationship at all.

Just logged on to see if my post asking whether ammonia bunkering had any relevance to AFC had generated any response from the original poster.

I'm ging to ask the poster an honest question and see if he's capable of providing a reasonable answer. This article appears t refer to a firm which operates ammonia bunkering facilities and provides ammonium as a marine fuel.

So there's no cracking for hydrogen involved is there? They are actually using ammonia s a fuel in its own right.

If that's the case then why is it 'interesting'? How is it relevant to AFC?

This is the sort of discussion that these boards are for. It's possible I'm missing something and if that's the case I'm happy to say so.

We have, of course, ALBM been here before. When ABB took a stake it appeared that we were on the cusp of big things with a serious player and the share price responded accordingly.

If that situation transpires with the mystery partner then I think we can have some confidence that it does so from more solid foundations. It wouldn't offer any guarantees, none are available, but I couldn't see it as anything other than positive.
