The deal sees Sanofi hand over the upfront fee, commit to milestones that could exceed $6 billion and express an interest in buying up to $100 million in IGM stock. In return, Sanofi has secured a stake in six IGM antibodies, three against oncology targets and three against immunology and inflammation targets.
IGM is focused on the IgM antibodies from which it takes its name. The IgG antibodies that dominate the biologics industry have two binding units. IgM antibodies, in contrast, have ten binding units. IGM thinks the additional units will enable its antibodies to bind to more targets and have more binding power.

What is important now, is that we have a company clearly preparing the market for a very visible and hugely profitable break up, with US listing of part of the company.
A completely re rating with the therapeutic business having ongoing U.K./US trials which will attract the majors as precision oncology is an incredible attractive area.
The diagnostic business have several opportunities outside the LFT are, however we will still have an environment where rapid flow testing will be required en masse.
At 55p it is incredible cheap.

Worth bearing in mind with the the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) having approved Avacta’s Investigational New Drug (IND) application for AVA6000,allowing the Group to expand its Phase I clinical trial, ALS-6000-101, into clinical trial sites in the United States,but more importantly at the recent Dose Escalation level of 120mg/m2.
The FDA and the MHRA can share trial data and one could argue that the FDA will be able to “ fast track “ the US trials.

It is Interesting that the company left out in her career CV,the fact that:

Dr. Coughlin was leading two early development programmes at Novartis in checkpoint inhibition and PI3?kinase inhibition. Dr. Coughlin led the overall programme early development teams, including preclinical pharmacology, toxicology, clinical pharmacology, clinical development, biomarker development and regulatory work.
