Good morning all suffering LT holders. Over on X tom_the_bomb has reallly dropped one and likely found the reasoning behind the 'cash, dont worry about that' statement. AffyXell is to IPO in 2025 with, the chairman of Daewoong stepping down to lead it! Huge news with a massive impact on Avacta. So many strings to Avactas bow.
"I want my loved ones treated with drugs that have tested on thousands of patients, not 40!" Another expert talking bo**ocks. As you ought to know if invested here AVA6000 releases pure Dox, yes the Dox that has been used on millions of people, that is targeted at the tumour environment rather than the whole system. At this stage there is nothing not to like.
As a long term holder with an average over 100p today feels like a bit of a kick in the gut or worse. But looking at this objectively things are not as bad as they might appear. The Platform works, key partnerships are looking good. It was a mistake I think to believe that BP would hand over the keys to their Kingdom without some seriously grubby goings on and this has now occured. Clearly AS and or others have been let down on a deal of some sort which necessitated the raise at 50p. Now however Avacta has a runway of three years to get the ducks in a row and I believe they will. The SP will settle and then in my opinion begin a steady rise north. Does AS have an apology and explanation to give, hell yes but lets hear it before passing judgement. My plan has been to hold and sell a chunk at 2500p around 2029. Well with dilution that 2500p is now 2000p ish. Did I think Avacta has the stuff to get to 20000p well truth be told I did and still do. My advice for what its worth is to sit on your hands and do nothing for a month or two. Good luck all and keep the faith.
With Avacta there is, in my opinion, a slim chance that one day in the near future we do wake up to a 2000p offer. Thats the nature of what Avacta have on their hands, but more likely is the granting of various deals which pushes the sp up by degrees. But if I was BP with deep pockets and I could monopolise targeting of stroma would I stand on the sidelines and let others in, I think not.
My expectations were on reflection a little too high. Takeaways, its as safe as houses, allows increased length of treatment and disease stabalisation and the safety study has given early indications of significant efficacy. Chris in my opinion was likely as close to jumping for joy as she has been in years. All good. Didnt think it would happen but I bought yet more this morning, the axel on the wagon really groaning now and the look on the mules face ...
Folk seem to forget AS commenting in the last presesentation something along the lines of "we have to be careful, we dont want the share price running away because we want companies to invest". Avacta directors are not thick they knew exactly the consequences of the loan and this has kept the brakes on the SP thus far. But when Precision is proven beyond any doubt, brakes arnt going to hold the SP and the long awaited inflection point will be reached. But we may be bought out sooner if just one BP wants to get the drop on others. Only my opinion but long to wait now. I cant believe AS will stand there on Weds telling us he got it wrong so get the Olly on ice.
For BF there is the inherent risk of missing out on what is possibly one of the biggest opportunities of recent and perhaps not so recent years. Given the wide scope of Precision (i.e. ADC applicability) my feeling is that an offer could come out the blue at any point, including prior to Wednesday's presentation. Fingers crossed.
AS paraphrased and briefly answered one of my written questions, which some may have missed "Why given the success the company has achieved in its P1a trial and the huge potential benefit to cancer patients all over the world is their no coverage in Global media." To paraphrase his answer "now that we have patients being treated with Chemo not experiencing adverse symptoms we are approaching the point where we can engage with Global Media. " Very good to hear say I.
