£1.70 bid rather, feel MM would have accepted £170

A major news rns if/when one happens could happen in eve as much as morning. Atleast for the softbank raise/Bentley labs acquisition and for the £170 bid it was rns'd after market.

B1inky can't tell if you're being sincere or parody considering you would sometimes mock big news type rumours previously.

I obv agree with the BOA point that these companies only need to survive for a sp rise due to the low valuations. The talk of survive does remind one though that a lot of the market (often those who don't look properly into thg imo) seem to view companies like thg as being in a fight to survive currently. This doesn't seem appropriate with thg having access to £640 million cash (£680 million once the property sale completes q1). The debt doesn't mature until end of 2026 by which time we will almost certainly have been firmly back in a bull market for a while.

Agree Holy, but still had a better year than Boohoo, ASOS and Ocado revenue and EBITDA wise. Can't ignore the macro for online e commerce.

He and MM seem to have a different idea from many on what rapid growth as things stand but lets hope it's because they know what than us looking forward.

I think in a bull market the statements in regards to "further major contracts close to agreement" and "the Group confirming that it is in advanced discussions to provide long-term software solutions for several significant enterprise clients" would have over-ridden an EBITDA miss and the share price would have risen, however in this current bear market the EBITDA is the focus.

I'm agnostic Hereshopin, ideally need the money in this life. Maybe will message investor relations that.

Whales of at-least large clients do seem likely would you not say Oxford, though timings are uncertain. Therefore I wouldn't say whales coming was incorrect. From the rns:

drd21, the Oct update was at-least in line with the update before it. The rest did all have downgrades. TBF though I think many companies Boohoo, ASOS and Ocado kept downgrading with each update last year. No-one could have predicted inflation would be so bad, the Russian invasion and the strikes in December. Personally I'd rather be in the company that has the best annual results which out of those 4 was THG.

Boots would make sense, obviously Dominic Murphy is co-head of UK investments there and was a THG non-exec director until he left THG last year. As far as we know he still owns his 1.09% of THG shares.

Okehurst lets hope so. It does feel it's all gone quite quiet in terms of no social media updates from THG/Matt M for a while. Obviously as-well silence from Lord Allen but that may not be connected.

Interesting post from Toansy on advfn - "Last 2 times IG index removed leverage on THG we had 100 percent plus rises over the next days and week. They took it off today. I monitor it constantly and I went in immediately. They know when it’s on."

Nasdaq suffering a bit but nice to see US natural gas price down another 7%, now at June 2021 levels.
