Byrnecut, McMahon and many other sub-contractors have to adhere to Newcrest's H&S directives and this was there chosen method of delivery.

Back in August GGP drilled 5 holes in a line in their Scallywag tenements and revisited two. The assays were scanned and sent to the Perth Laboratories. They have a XRF scanner. There are significant costs involved. Why would they do that if they were complete duds?

Preliminary core inspection has identified visible gold in the core and the Company has been utilising a portable x-ray fluorescence (“pXRF”) as part of the preliminary examination process. The pXRF has confirmed the gold content of a small speck seen in the core at 111.0 m.

I'm sorry I can't resolve the paywall issue. Basically back in August last year, Daniel Morgan ( UBS mining analyst ) was recommending sell when the Newcrest share price was circa 34 dollars. The share price is currently circa 25 dollars. After Newcrest's presentation on Wednesday night he has now revised his sell recommendation to buy with a target price of 33.2 dollars. Circ 30% above today's price.

August 2020 -
This time last year UBS analyst Daniel Morgan was one of several analysts recommending clients "sell" Newcrest shares because of the looming slump in gold production.
