I think position here is that either BOD require full report details and then go around lenders or that they have already had initial sounding out discussions with lenders and advisers - to gain indication what report needs to show to have chance of finance . I suspect an element of both. If any of us were buying a house, before having expense of valuation, we would at least get a rough idea of what might be lent to us to see if any point to the valuation and My guess is ( although could be completely wrong ) that it is the same here.. Accept that price minerals rises and falls - has always been the case and be surprised if BOD not aware of this and factored in. If had loan say £30 million over 12 years - with capital and repayment holiday first 24 months and could borrow at secured rate 6 % would then give ten years to clear say £34 million . Figures will be different if loan unsecured and interest rate higher. Anglesey owns freehold of Parys so presumably would be in a position to pledge that which would aid security Loan could be drawn in tranches as works progress so lender would not be exposed to the full £30 million odd debt until close to production . As it became clear that all going OK - perhaps a year out company could consider futures contracts for enough production to cover their fixed costs and debt repayments . As other colleagues have alluded to may be possibility of grants

A lot if not all of what you says makes sense - but out of interest why have you singled out this company and its shareholders for the benefits of your undoubted expertise Your predictions could be true and the company could plod along for several more years ( hope not ) Would your warning perhaps be better placed with companies where directors repeatedly draw large salaries financed by ever greater dilutions ? As i say purely out of curiosity why have you decided that the investors here need your help ?

I think we will be very lucky to have a comprehensive RNS by June and think it entirely likeley as a previous poster has mentionhd that the update will come with the July financial update I would like an RNS as much as anyone - but realistically there is the report - which would then need discussion with lenders to see what scale of operation they would support - possible need for Parys to be valued as security - negotiation with lenders - processes that an easily take weeks - if have financial institutions solicitors and valuers involved That said, if this is the case, an update to effect that - report under consideration - discussions with interested parties are underway would not go amiss.Parties etc w

Sleetmoor think stronger pound means less profit for AYM ( if they produce ) and vice versa Ranger - is good point could be consideration by anyone - most probably board / financiers the way it is written - not the market as a whole - in which case if read like that it is not promising a RNS at all

I was agreeing with you - quite lot useful information posted here - discussed and corrected where need be I like the humour in between Whilst I would like the company now to crack on and demonstrate finance etc now - am also grateful that they have not done it quick or efficiently some years ago . This may sound bit perverse but has enabled me follow lead of Mike and others to buy reasonable holding very cheaply

Apart from what is below ground I beleive there are many tons of spoil at Parys which was discarded when the copper was being mined - zinc being of little interest in those days Has any one seen any mention of this being re processed or indeed if it is actually owned by AYM or forms part of the heritage site

I have never thought about it before but have had a quick Google and like crops it can be sold forward - which thinking about it would be protection for buyers as well - interestingly at a quick glance if I am reading it right future prices are higher than current or spot prices

I have no more information than anyone else but i cant belief RBS defence can be that robust They should have all paperwork records etc to the issue and should be in position to simply say we can prove our case lets go to court - end of Either they have no faith in the British judicial system or not lot confidence they are rich -just my opinion

Given the vast amount taxpayer cash injected and that if government had allowed RBS to collapse or been unable to save it the catastrophic results that would have followed - It is amazing that neither they Bank of England or FCA seem that worries about what actually happened . If nothing else might save a repeat . RBS should have clearly documented everything at time of rights and ought to be able to clearly prove that all procedures were honestly and correctly followed . AS such you would imagine they would welcome their day in court as quickly as possible to show their innocence

You can claim a loss to put against any capital gains you may have now or in the future - unless the shares are in an Isa then you can't. You cannot claim against income tax.

I don t think it unreasonable that shareholders should know who is taking over the company and also if they and the bondholders are one and the same . Similarly unless the bondholders are a spread of private individuals then it would be useful to know who they were . Be interesting to know if the tax losses that buyers aquire exceed purchase price Not withstanding that Company have advised that will be nothing for shareholders would not hurt them to update site with liquidators progresss and if any furher offers received

when time comes if shares not in ISA can offset against profits or capital gains on other assets - if none available now can register loss and carry it forward indefinitely >these are aim shares though not enterprise ones so cannot put the loss against income tax
