They said it explicitly in the RNS which was issued by CINE (not by the press) and matters much more than what they say on their website:

"Cineworld further confirms that the Listing and the Admission to Trading are expected to be cancelled at 8.00 a.m. on the business day following the actual appointment of administrators in respect of Cineworld Group plc."

Yes, the sp could go to 0.6p or 0.9p or even more. I don't know what the exact odds are but it's a 'reasonable' chance.

This only applies (obviously) up to the point where the share is expected to be suspended. Once they apply for administration it is game over in my view as they will first suspend and then delist and the administrator will not hand us anything out of expediency, pity or largesse like you suggest.

So:

a) Your suggestion there is still time to make money on CINE. Quite possibly.

b) Your suggestion that the final outcome will result in a payout or other benefits to shareholders. Highly improbable if not nigh on impossible.

But to suggest administrators may throw us some scraps to speed things up or as a publicity stunt is just plain ignorance of how administration works - especially when there are millions of pounds owed to creditors that are ahead of us in the queue.

The new company is not called Crown, that's just the existing subsidiary (Crown UK Holdco Limited) that the assets will be transferred to. A new company (no name yet) that is controlled by the lenders will then be formed under which Crown will sit and be solely owned by.

Judging by some of the posts though it seems there are still plenty here that are away with the fairies. This is not a 50/50 bet - a chance in a million perhaps?

That all looks like PI money to me (can only see a few lines as not signed up so can't see anything for West Yorkshire Pension Fund).

Anyway, regardless of whether ii's are invested or not the company have spelt out very clearly what is happening so they will lose their money when Cine plc goes into administration just like us (except a lot more).

West yorkshire pension fund - first I've heard of that one! Where does it show up??? The trustees are not doing their job very well if they really do hold shares in such risky assets.

Which ones would they be? I think Goldman Sachs still have theirs but doubt many others do - if any.

There may be a few more trading opportunities for any gamblers out there but no longer term ones.

That is not what is happening. The banks and other lenders are taking over the business themselves and will be running it 'as normal'. In any case they won't own (most of) the cinemas, they'll be renting them off the landlords who do.

Though all that is academic as far as shareholders are concerned as we won't see a penny either way.

Agree Oke, even though there may be plenty of reasons why the BOO sp is struggling at the moment whether you choose to stay invested should depend more on your own outlook for the company and how things may improve - and not so much the current sorry share price.

Like you suggest if things like COGS improve , and margins generally, then the sp at some point will follow.

I just don't like the way they are going about the whole Revb thing at the moment but so long as that is sorted (or just abandoned) and they show signs of delivering on their forecasts (and hopefully outperforming) than happy to stay around for better days to come. I'll only jump ship if I lose faith in their prospects of delivering significant improvements.

I can understand people having differing views about how the market operates and what MM's in particular get up to, however little evidence there is or how much I might disagree, but one thing I have never understood is why people who thing it is so rigged still play the game at all?

If I felt the odds were so unfairly stacked against me I'd just find something else to do with my money. Horses, property, premium bonds, casino, mattress or whatever.

OK I'll bite.

1. What possible reason have MM's got for not creating a market? The more trades the more they get paid so surely they have more incentive to create one? In any case there have been over 9m shares traded today - doesn't seem too shabby.

2. What reason do MM's have for holding a share price down over a prolonged period. How do they benefit from consistently doing this?

I have little time for MM conspiracy theories (or sour grapes to give them their proper name) but it would be good to hear some coherent logic as to what motives they have for suppressing the market or the price and what evidence there is beyond the 2 + 2 = 5 kind (e.g. sp has gone down even though there is 'no news' - apart from the almost daily RNS's at the moment).

Just maybe the sp is langushing because of the unseemly spat with Revb (where neither side is coming out looking good), the wafer thin trading update, inflation being more persistent than expected or about 196 other possible reasons?

Neil - again, they didn't say the next day for suspension. That was for the cancellation of the listing not the suspension. The suspension I imagine will be instant which, as you say, is normal. The suspension will follow the DECISION TO MAKE AN APPLICATION to appoint administrators - by the time they actually do appoint the administrators they will already be suspended. They will then cancel the listing the next day. All this according to the RNS anyway.
