RE: UK alert level raised to four due to Omicron13 Dec 2021 06:38
Lewis99 A cautionary tale for you I was in my early 40s fit running marathons etc then got hit with a rare cancer that I never knew I had that lead to strokes & other issues. I hate drugs to but after loosing my immune system to cancer the vaccine actually saved my life when I caught covid. I thought I was invincible too but the cancer had been growing in my 7-10 years they think & I never knew. A reality check gives you a very unique perspective on life. My brothers wife has cancer now & she is fit & didn’t want vaccine but now she has to have her immune system destroyed to fight the cancer & has zero covid protection. Perspectives change quite rapidly once you’re given a reality check that we are not all invincible. I agree ultimately we should all do what’s right for us but my brothers wife is regretting not being vaccinated now with 6-12 chemo in hospital. For me it saved me & the odds of being worse not having it bared out too be true.
75% protection means out of the 67 million in U.K., 46 million had 2 doses so 21 million no protection & another 11 million will be the 25% not protected so a potential 32 million hospital potentials
I think the predictions of 1,000 a day hospital admissions by end of month are conservative!
