They are obliged to publish a trading update if the results look like they are going to miss predictions by a certain percentage…I believe 10%. I suspect that the nomad saw the audit/accounts and said you've got to publish the discrpency…regs. and all that. Just glad it is out of the way with minimal SP damage

The cascade funding RNS stated that part of the money was to be used to pay off of that loan. Great news, it means YA will not convert the loan into stock…..it also implies the first million was used to generate business i.e. build units for customers

TBH…Voldemort is right about SEV this time…they have had 5/6 months to let us know that 2016 wasn't as good as indicated previously. I can only imagine that, in doing the audit/books, they have realised that things are not what they had stated. Just wish they could have done the books 4/5 months ago and published the accounts in good time. Pretty shoddy really.

Namibian prospects are very good actually and there have been very few drills off shore Namibia. There has been a massive gas discovery down south and they have found some oil in the Walvis Baisin but they have not found where it has migrated to. There is growing activity there again. Multiple drills coming in next couple of years. ECO well placed. They are partnered with Tullow off shore Namibia and also Azinam. Guyana acreage looks superb

Much as expected………the thing I noticed the most was the complete lack of any reference to the acquisition which is supposed to be in progress. Dividend re-confirmed and a progressive dividend policy growth and growth in profits coming this year expansion coming in Cote D'Ivoire all good, happy to hold stock here

Agree in some ways. Palm oil and Africa put some off. Not a trendy sector. Retail interest not that great. However, the company has interested a number of institutions in recent years. More will come on board as tehy continue to prove the business case. First divi confirmation, continued growing profits, organic growth, acquisitions….all very attractive. We could be on a PE of 4/5/6 this year if production and price continues at Q1 levels

They are recorded on morning news is released. Some nerves here today, un-justified. Low volumes, nothing to worry about. Biopalm are restricted in when they can sell, don't worry about them. Looking forward to the RNS, going to be full of info.. I wonder if they have been able to close out this acquisition.

Yep, if things keep going as they are , I have €8million pencilled in for 2017, which would put us on a MC of £70 odd million on a p/e of 10 a p/e of 10 is v low for a growth company

My 'dodgy' maths was for Q1 17. They have given pretty good guidance for 2016 already. The point I was making was their cash position must be fantastic at the moment, record production and excellent prices, nice position to be in.. Q2 2016 was pretty poor, so hope we should smash last year's Q2 numbers.

20% margins on Q1…did some 'dodgy/quick' maths .2x733x16000 about€2 335 000 clear on CPO in Q1….not including PKO CPO price continues to improve

From my memory, haven't they already indicated how big the dividend will be? I thought it was £500k? Even if they make the acquisition, I still believe they will maintain this dividend. I suspect they had this/or another acquisition in mind for many months

You are probably right FK and the whole deal going public will not have helped but we shall see. The results are much later this year and the only reason for that , that i can see, is this potential acquisition

Think this acquisition has been on going for quite some time bubbling under the surface, wonder if they can tie it up before the results

Results are somewhat delayed from last year. I was told they would be in may some time ago. Perhaps they are trying to wrap up this acquisition to go hand in hand with results? It is clearly a complicated deal on both sides of the equation, the cost of which will affect their plans for the rest of the year hence a delay in results. I am 99% certain that the dividend will stay intact whatever happens. LM is not the sort of guy to go back on such a commitment. CPO price is trending up nicely again. If we can stay around $700 that is fantastic
