Interesting buy at 16.35pm today - given the size is an institutional buyer.
Looks like one of those shares that used to be stock market darlings and than get forgotten only to to rerate on good news.
However, I want to stress we need good news here and a sense that the ship is turning!

At these levels something really really bad would have to happen - whereas just one good announcement will propel this back to at least 300p.

Something is stirring. Anyway the share price at ca 250p was ridiculous. I topped up at ca 260p today.

Samsung now resembles a pork that is running around with many arrows in it.
Rightly so - they had enough chances to conduct themselves in a correct manner.
I wonder what Samsung’s ESG score is - asset managers rate companies also how they conduct their business so governance and business practice is something they could look at.

I listened to the web presentation carefully and remain absolutely confident. I still judge BT to be an honest and competent CEO. Let’s be honest N already achieved commercialisation albeit with a dishonest business partner which will ultimately have to pay.

Thinking about it I hope now S gets slapped with an infringement multiplier of 3. Patent theft needs to be punished severely otherwise this “let’s see if we can get away with it” attitude will continue.
Plus if S gets slapped with a 3 multiplier and N offers a multiplier of 2 as settlement maybe this will cut the whole saga short.
Any respect for S is long gone on my side.

@Ecclescake: I am happy for S to make money as long as they pay N the share that is due. I might be naive but I don’t think that any self respecting conscientious judge will let a defendant whose guilt has been proven get out free or with merely a mild slap.

@Hawi: I share your sentiment regarding the feeling of disappointment. However I am not really bothered about the trial being on 5th December or in January 2023 - we are nearly there.
Once N wins the trial the clock is ticking for us!

@SteakandAle: Fair enough approach and explanation - I thought about doing this on a modest scale but than I think Nanoco will come good and I might be kicking myself in case it jumped to say 90-100p and I had sold at “only” 50p.
Interesting weeks before us all and steady nerves required.

@SteakandAle: Am rather surprised that you have been selling down because as recently as 7th October you posted about trying to buy more Nanoco shares.

@Nanonano: I agree on all your points.

For what it is worth I have ca 40% of my savings invested in Nanoco as I believe very strongly in N case and their legal team. We should bear in mind that N has two opportunities to offer upside from here: 1) the trial win and 2) the commercialisation
I also firmly believe that BT is a good CEO so if he speaks of the trial being the cherry on the cake he must have meant it.

For what it’s worth I don’t think there is a compelling rationale. After PTAB verdict they could have bought N or come to an agreement. Maybe two things come together: Corporate pig headedness/arrogance and the will to deter other claimants in the future. Given that S has a lot of cash this is anyway more a nuisance to them than anything else. So cynically speaking they can afford to go to court and to lose there.

@Sammy88: I bought some more at 38.36p today as the share price is ridiculous - even a modest award will roughly double the price from here. And we are still waiting for commercialisation which should be with us in the coming few months.

@Hawi: I do remember and indeed it makes little difference but still was very good and fair play of wishinghoping to share the info with us.

@NGR: I have a significant part of my savings invested in N and a decent win will mean that I can kiss goodbye to my mortgage. I was one of the fools that saved up and saved up only to see real estate inflation outpace me and than had to pay a hefty chunk for a one bedroom….at least I fixed my mortgage for 10 years so this is saving my bacon.
Really angry about the way successive governments allowed rampant house prices and now genuinely feel with all those who now have to renew their mortgage.

@NGR1616: I see a bit the point you are making but after two postponements I think it is not unreasonable to have this cleared up.

@Sammy88 and others: For the point that Sammy88 raised (unless someone on this board knows the answer) might we not just have someone raise this question directly with Nanoco? ….They should know/be interested to know this and sharing this information with us should not violate any compliance rules as far as I know.

@Hawi, Sammy88: I reread N’s last RNS, especially the last paragraph, and I have the impression that N will release a RNS as soon as they hear that we are first in line for a trial… so based on this I think none of us has to call Texas but can/should rely on N to fulfill its promise. Or am I missing something here…?

Totally makes sense and as you said we have been postponed twice so must be close now given that we were scheduled already.
Still hoping for a Christmas present here.
Given the awful state of the market I will use any gains on paying off my mortgage.

Dear all,
I just did some googling and found out that in the webpage txcourts.gov and here in the rule book “Texas Rules of Civil Procedure” under page 158 (rule number 215) scheduling of jury trial dates is in the discretion of courts. So no clear mechanisms seem to be provided.
Disclaimer: I am a non lawyer so others might find out more relevant rules…

@Hawi: With storm I associate turmoil and often negative events. For Nanoco I (and I think you as well) expect positive things so maybe tailwind would be the more appropriate term… don’t you agree?
The share price is languishing understandably due to postponements of trial and lack of clarity when the next trial date will be - however, once we have clarity on that the way forward will be clearer …and we should all remember that with each postponement the time when it will be our time is getting closer as surely no trial can be delayed ad infinitum.
