A GBP 100m net outcome for Nanoco would be capitulation in my eyes if you consider all the potential license fee income.

Let us all calm down.
Fact is that so far nothing has happened that is out of order.
Nanoco has always stated that they prefer a negotiated settlement. I reread the RNS from Monday and there is nothing that is inconsistent with what BT has not said before.
Sure in a settled agreement you need to make some compromises but if we get a fair deal and a lump sum for future sales I would be happy. Obviously I would prefer royalties from Samsung but if the lump sum for future sales is fair what is there to complain.
So although unhappy with the inept communication (why two RNS) I still believe BT.
But it is up to each and everyone if we still BT - or not.

@troublesome: Simply too late. What is the point of sususpension now. I am really angry how Nanoco has handled the communication.

@BlahBlahDoh: If it contains the one key amount and by that I meant the settlement amount they can put out as many RNS afterwards as they please.

@FlyingHigher: You really don’t know the Nanoco case well. It has been mentioned many times on this board that Mintz are “merely” Nanoco’s law firm and that there is an unnamed litigation funder that is paying Mintz’s bills.

@botbot:I only wrote that as BlahBlahDoh whom I respect seemed uncharacteristically aggressive to your post that I deemed factually correct. Maybe we are all a bit tense.

@BlahBlahDoh: There will be a final RNS where financial terms will be disclosed - maybe not the exact calculations but the final sum. And this is a certainty. If you think that BotBot is a bit too optimistic about that landing soon you might be right and maybe they need the 30 days in full but final RNS with some firm figures (if indeed they achieve legal agreement wording) will come.

@FlighingHigher: Keep calm and drink tea. Perfectly natural that some people cannot take the suspense of ca 25 days wait…it does take some strong nerves to be an investor you know.

@LeoMan: You have it nailed on. Personally bailing out now in my humble opinion would be stupid.
I listened to BT presentation that he gave in 2022 again and yes he said that they would prefer an agreement and if that entails royalties going forward or a lump sum he wouldn’t mind as long as it is fair value. So far nothing has happened that indicates that he has broken his word. We have a settlement which brings closure rather than say another two year or so of wrangling and uncertainty. As long as we get a fair value that really is transformational than I am “happy” to put up with another 24 days of reading discussions on this board - which are passionate but of high quality.

If Edison is paid by Nanoco to do research than they might want consider terminating them. As the last sentence in the Edison report sounds like total capitulation.

@ddibya: Nanoco is financially a stable company and funded until 2025. It will be in a GOOD financial position only if we get a decent six figure payout.
Personally after some jitters I feel calmer today - and thankfully held on to all my shares.

@Hawi: I remembered it and this is why I was so puzzled by the defensive and almost apologetic language in the second RNS, ie that if Monday.
So either the RNS was badly worded or was worded not to sound triumphalist and offend Samsung with whom talks are being had at the moment but the messaging from Nanoco in tone and the messaging in tone from the RNS don’t sit together well.
As to the present market cap I think it is too low but I have given up on 100p as a share price….

@Bobby3: I am frustrated by this RNS. Why put it out there? On Friday after the first RNS was put out there the economic terms were unclear and they remain unclear.
All the RNS has done is to raise many interpretations and unsettling people and crashing the share price.
I am continuing to hold and I understand that it must be hard for the company to find the perfect wording but we have a real mess now.
One RNS on Friday, suspension of trading until details are firmly agreed would have been the best approach. Maybe there were legal reasons from the London Stock Exchange against suspension…?

Tenner used the word transformational this summer. End of.

For me and in the books of every other investor transformational means at least doubling of the share price….and indeed I recall BT saying that the the value will be transformational. And this was said when the share price was already in the 30p+ range.

@Nanonano: If Nanoco gets enough money for the next few years they can retain/recruit good scientists as well with all the lessons learned from Samsung make sure they don’t get hoodwinked again.

I actually don’t care about Samsung being abrasive but as a consumer I and we all have the power to boycott Samsung. This will hurt them but Samsung will also hear about my decision directly. If enough potential clients do this they will register this.
