Also might as well wait until nearer end of June so can say H1 is x% above PY and company is now trading at a profit not loss. Plus we can all be hopeful that India may give approval, it has been promised for many years so surely the process must be close to a conclusion

It’s probably to cleanse any buyers close to some of these international situations and protect the board from any criticism if (eg the Indian certification) news comes out very soon and the SP takes off and some investors have sold that weren’t close to situations

Reach is more IR than legal so they can be more loose with language. My guess is that they want to let investors know that India is close (…in particular India is building momentum) but still not over the line yet - so bear with us a little longer. Momentum could only be building if there is an expectation that d2w will gain certification otherwise they can’t sell/use it and there wouldn’t be any momentum. The rest is just positive sentiment they are hearing from the distributors, which is positive but they are sales people and tend to be optimistic.

They had great foresight this time last year and decided not to risk the need for another RNS so extended for 2 years:

“The Options were due to expire on 31 December 2024 but have been extended for practical reasons to 31 December 2026”

🤷 but the SP is up 13% today which means those that know are pointing the SP in the right direction

Once management deliver on what they say in the prelims/interims then the SP will fly. Its not

AIM which is the problem on valuation but the continual failure to deliver on anything set out in public announcements/investor shows etc (and looking back that seems to be an unfortunate trend) that will continue to put off serious investors. They did well to raise at 20p 9 months ago but tapping the same investors at that price will be difficult until delivery on promises. Lets hope 2026 will at long last see some new big contracts (promised for so long) and Indian certification, again promised for so long.

Lets hope you are right and they are dumping the s..t news before new year with good news to flow in January 2026. The 20p US investors must be sweating somewhat with 9 months having passed and still nothing positive - nothing on India, nothing on new contracts, just a sneaky little rns showing a massive fall in revenue but leaving out the comparison to PY to avoid overly highlighting the drop

Totally agree. He seems to think its the market’s fault for the low share price but he hasn’t delivered anything to allow the market to revalue the SP. If he delivers a large contract, higher sales, profit or the Indian certification or a combination of any of these then the SP will start to fly. But just saying “we are nearly there” every 6 months, for what looks like a number of tears, isn’t going to cut it. Its no longer a startup which gets more lea-way, at least during initial year or do

Just gone back and re-read. It says it will convert unless repaid and repayment in at the discretion of Sym. So I don’t think Indorama has choice on repayment or conversion.

Just checked the 13 March 2023 RNS and the right to either repay in full or in part is at Sym’s discretion not the investor

I think everyone is now waiting for Indian certification or a proper RNS on major projects all promised in the interims etc (for sometime now) - surely some major news is due soon not just a non-reg RNS on some pet stuff

The RNS on 11 March states: Intertek performed the study between 20 January and 7 March 2025 with the objective of establishing the composition of any residues from degraded d2w products. The study concludes that after samples of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) had degraded in soil, ZERO microplastics were found.

It looks like this is the final test as the above is a test on the degraded plastic.

It would have been better if the company had simply clarified by stating that d2w had been tested in accordance with Indian standards and had passed and that an application had been submitted. It could then say it was waiting on the certification process rather than testing.

Obviously some know and hence the buying.

I just looked back at the March RNSs and the testing was in accordance with ISO Standard 24187:2023 which I think has been adopted by India.

The problem with rolling is that it sends the message that “we are nearly there” but “still not there”! We want Sym to finally get there so pressure on management to finally deliver on something - sales, Indian certification - something please

We are now in the 90 day conversion price period for the convertible debt. I would expect management to be working hard to get the share price up. Expect a busy period with RNSs

Agreed. Management also need to get a grip on timing, they seem to accept what their distributors tell them without proper drill- down and hence all the continual slippage. Deliver sales = higher share price. Its no longer a start-up so the SP won’t accept just potential anymore, the market wants revenues growth = profit = cash = dividends

As the interims were issued on the last day of Q3 and the last day to meet regulatory requirements and there was no mention of Q3 revenues, this leads me to believe that they must have been waiting for some news - which has obviously slipped into October. So I am expecting some more news in the coming weeks - if not then I am baffled why they left this statement to 30th, nothing really included which couldn’t have been said at the beginning of September.

Interestingly and confusingly, the chairman referenced H1 as being negatively affected by timing of orders. Normally this would mean sales/orders have slipped into the next reporting period i.e an accounting timing difference. So in this case I would have expected these H1 revenues to slip into Q3 as 3 months is more than long enough for a reporting delay in the orders. But the absence of Q3 revenue numbers suggests that isn’t the case.

Agreed. Splitting the RNS into two probably suggests that the trading update will be positive and didn’t want its strong trading message to be confused by the potential negative reading of the EPA reversal. May not be Monday but definitely very shortly. Lets hope that the delayed Q2 revenue lands in Q3 and we are in a profitable run-rate.
