Let's see if those lumpy sales late this afternoon will be followed by a matching buy (late notification) or early buy tomorrow am. Closing sp today of 3p suspiciously above that last sale price of 2.775p.

Exciting to see chunky buys processed around the 3p level ...........................as at Friday 7th August they were trading at 1.75p. The AMC kettle is starting to come to the boil.

Sure Julian M, no problem. There are very few market makers in AMC (not too surprising given it is a tiddler on AIM). If you are one of only three people selling specifically purple and gold electric widgets (MkIX), buyers/sellers will come to you and have a discussion about whether they wish to buy or sell, the volume and price. If I tell you I wish to buy 1.9m widgets and give you an upper price limit. The market make can then try & source those widget for you with a willing seller. Looks like this is what happened here, particularly with regard to the timings and late notification of the purchase. IMHO the high value relative to any transactions that has occurred for a very long time is the clue here to a matching transaction. The market makers are highly unlikely to hold 2m of AMC stock on their books given the volatility of the share price at the moment.

Nope. The spread is not likely to have been too relevant for this transaction. The broker new they had a buyer for the shares and was willing to take a smaller spread vis The 800,000 x2 were sold at 2.85p with the 1,900,000 purchase transacted at 3.087p. That is still a very tasty 8.32% spread ex any charges or somewhere in the region of £4,000 -£4,500 for pressing a couple of buttons. Decent money over 20 minutes.

We now have a partial answer to those 2 x 800,000 large sells yesterday pm. The very late (this am) notification of a "matching" 1,900,000 purchase late yesterday afternoon. Have been here for 10 years+ and do not recall a single historical open market transaction of this size (c£57k) before. AND coming hot on the heels of Mr Dawson's commitment from last week. This level of activity is telling us what?

Little bit of indigestion post the placing. The offer was oversubscribed and extra shares were taken up by some in the open offer. Even selling today at 21p, investors have made a most healthy 30%+ return in a little over a month, not to be sniffed at. News is now required to substantiate the initial enthusiasm. We have no time scale on this of course.

Let's wait and see what happens to the SP when the US market opens at 2.30pm this afternoon.

What am I missing ? The RNS about the auction was issued at midday but there have not been any trades since.

Will the Directors be fully subscribing for their entitlement?

At the end of June we will receive an RNS regarding the year end accounts. This will be informative and help the optimists and pessimists alike.

Final accounts to 31.12.18 due at the end of June. Hibernation until then.

What is everyone doing about their 1:10 offer at 16p? Instructed my broker yesterday to accept but have not opted to bid for any excess.

The Chinese are way ahead of the western world and Amur happens to be on their doorstep, as Robin has mentioned on more than one occasion.................Almost there another year or two max!!!
