Ezhik, it would be fair to say that with AZN having some meaningful line into Synairgen, they will be exploring amalgams of techniques utilising SNG's interferon beta application. This being the case they would pay SNG royalties if they required the SNG technique. SNG win either way in this scenario.

For the unitiated, please take time to read the US approved patent and exactly what the patent includes relating to Interferon Beta. Otherwise we will go round in circles with chinese whispers - how (in)appropriate. The patent is the patent and the Synairgen treatment is specifically for lower respiratory tract illness, which is precisely what CoVid19 is.

Hi Miggy007, even if it was a sale (and we don't know for certain it was), the transaction either way lends very strong support to the share price at the 70p level, which is what we are seeing today. I do agree that whoever the buyer or seller was, knew their onions. Others on here happily/worringly trading a couple of grand here or there have little impression on the "experts" with their many years of experience trading £2m a pop in an AIM share. As always follow the money.

Miggy007 - based on prices immediately before and after that looks like a sale (unless it was a delayed trade). Possibly an II in at 35p placing now having a free carry. Can't blame them. Risk mitigation.

Synairgen is most definitely sitting at the top table. Todays RNS was a formality with regard to the Results from the General Meeting, but the positively surprising news (that no one had anticipated) in relation to the Urgent Public Heath Study was an unexpected bonus.

For the wavering. Take time to watch/listen to the attached. Only 5 minutes long. From 28th June 2018. Same subject matter without CoVid19. The CEO talks about a £1bn+ business via a large Pharma. Nothing has changed........except the multiples of £1bn. If it works on Covid19 I am not sure any of us will get close to the right value.

I have posted this before, but probably helpful to reissue for the new arrivals..................Straight from the Synairgen RNS

"As a result of the expedited approvals to conduct a placebo-controlled Phase II clinical trial in COVID-19, the Company expects the pilot phase to have commenced in the week commencing 23 March 2020........................There will be a further decision made whether to progress to pivotal phase once the pilot phase is complete."

I do not recall this very important point being picked up by others. If the pilot phase is successful and the trial moves on to the pivotal phase, the share price will absolutely leap. If the pivotal phase is also successful another sharp upward movement should be expected.

We will surely not have to wait 6/8 weeks from 23rd March to discover whether the trial is moving from the pilot to pivotal phase.

Agreed Miggy007, and it is more pronounced with AIM. The interest in SNG is exponential compared to say January when the share price was languishing at 6.35p and most people in the UK had never heard of the Company.

The guys at their Southampton base have been proving up this (InterferonBeta) potential blockbuster for years and were within touching distance with their ongoing trials anyway. This CoVid19 outbreak should fast forward the whole process. The TILS shareprice movement is unreal - and they have only just obtained a patent. SNG are at least 12 months ahead of them and possibly more. Our time will come, and probably quite soon.

AdamH7 - yep, more sellers than buyers = price falling back.

This is only relevant with SNG if there is a continuous downward price movement coupled with discrete transactions valued at say >£10k. Anything less than this transactional value will move the share price but really is inconsequential. Great example of this in action was yesterday's after hours trade for a buy in of £153k at 61p. This buyer simply mopped up all the small pi sales during the course of the afternoon. That is supply and demand. That transaction was a real statement of confidence that the sp will rise comfortably ahead of the 61p entry price. It is a fact, some people are much closer to what is happening (without being insiders!!) than you or I sat playing with the piano keys on our laptop. Follow the heavy trades.

Ghia, sorry mate you are wrong. SNG have successfully trialled their interferon beta nebuliser on patients suffering from COPD, but not specifically CoVid19. It has a demonstrable proven ability to assist with other types of Coronaviruses.

Why has it not been trialled on CoVid19 before? Because we have not had CoVid19 before. Simples. And that is what so many on this BB do not understand.

Adam H7 - The placing at 35p will have a dilutive effect on the share price proportionate to the total number of shares in issue after the placing, and based on the share price at the time the placing announcement was made. This is a simple mathematical calculation. Please do not get hung up on others stating "we must have an RNS about this", or "the Board needs to tell us whether shares will be sold" because we don't, that is absolute bunkum and codswallop.

What did happen with the SNG shareprice which is exceptional when the intial shares were placed at 35p, the share price (including the placed shares) continued to rise, notwithstanding it was at a healthy premium to the placing price before the announcement. That is very rare indeed and goes against the grain. All other things being equal, the more shares in issue from a placing the lower the share price. Draw comfort from the fact that people interested in the placing at 35p were still willing to drive the share price up to get on board and have a piece of the action. You got to be in it to win it (& all that). No guarantees of course but pretty decent indicator of what is to come, I would suggest.

Trek. Agree "bandwagon journalism". The truth & facts will out over the next few weeks. I have been invested in Synairgen for many years and have therefore followed their glide path very closely. In a perverse kind of way, what is currently happening has been a perfect storm for Synairgen. This is their time (or not), although the balance of probabilities is weighted towards them based on the detailed clinical work they have conducted in this very specific area of healthcare over the last 10 years.

Of course everybody, president, prime minister, company, country is striving to find any kind of solution. Many will fall by the wayside, Synairgen really shouldn't.

Punit101421 - A pointless observation that helps no one. Choose a figure between £1 per share and £10 + per share . Yes it really is that wide. The best guesstimate and perhaps the fairest because there is a calculation behind it is the Finncap assessment.

TrekMadone. Please read my previous posts in relation to your comment "My understanding is we do not have a patent on interferon. We have a patent for use of interferon as an ingredient in SNG001." Apologies for the bluntness ......but you are just wrong.

"It takes years to get to that stage." Yes, precisely and Synairgen have been working on this for almost 10 years. No one else is going to be able to shoe horn this in without official clinical trials. Notwithstanding current predicament.

There is no evidence that Synairgen are trading their shares on the German Frankfurt Bourse or floating on the German Market this morning. Please be careful. If this were the case there WOULD have been an RNS AND it would have been well signposted in advance.
