Cherokee - It is very well accepted that asset prices and companies can be mispriced, and sometime dramatically. This provides savvy investors with opportunities. I firmly believe AMC has been mispriced for some time now. I do not know the reason why. But will give the BoD the benefit of the doubt for another couple of years at least, and until there is resolution and we know why. On boarding Bowens and Habib was positive for a couple of "obvious" reasons.
1) The Board were silently accepting they needed a couple of "heavy" hitters to take the project forward and assist them.
2) The two brought on have solid experience in the region and in commodities.
Digging stuff out of the ground is very long term, traditional style investing. AMC is negatively affected by the Russian factor and CoVid has not helped. The very full pot of nickel is owned by a Russian company which is a subsidiary of AMC. Easy to see why the western world ain't taking too much interest. For what its worth , and when it happens, my view is that the sp trajectory will head north very rapidly once everything is lined up. Interested parties (Glencore/Norilsk et al) will probably have positioned themselves alongside AMC many moons ago.
Look, we all know the crypto's can rise and fall by >+/- 20% before we have had our morning coffee, but this is old fashioned values, if you like "bricks and mortars", personally I still remain 80% confident this will return a handsome return from the current market price.
The Board are updating us when they feel it is appropriate. That is good enough for me. I do not sit on the Board of Directors of AMC, I am not an expert in the field of commodities and precious metals and I am not a keyboard warrior. If there is a whiff of the people I have elected at the AGM's onto the Board failing me according to my own investing values (and with no criminality) I shall sell my shares.
See you all at the £1 per share party!!!!
