Says gold going to $2,700. GS bringing its view more into line with those saying $3,000 is incoming.

Whichever way you cut it $2,300/2,400/2,700/3,000 is a long way from $1,900. Anyone with gold assets is sitting pretty: in six months gold companies have gone from the wallflower to the hottest girl in the room.

You need to do a course of cost and management accounting you might understand it a bit better. You until marginal cost equals marginal revenue, even if it doesn't cover overhead.

If you take a look at the pretty piccies on Twitter, you will see that there is already mined material sat at the pond waiting to be processed.

Given no finance costs, leasing costs etc the main cost will be labour: in Burkina Faso de minimis.

I agree that there have clearly been people who have forward sold who wanted the SP lower thinking they could either get back in on a placing or buy cheaper in the market.

We should be in production sometime next week, assuming all the bits of paper can't be dealt with in a timely fashion, if not the week after. The issue is importation paperwork for the wash plant, VAT and import duties and all that good stuff.

On a reasonable basis, the wash plant should generate something like $255k pm of free cash flow. Once they have that on site and producing, they can start the other wash plants moving.

The big thing is getting a production licence to produce at volume; again, with a following wind and bit of efficiency that could be September/October. There are wash plants out there that do 220 tph that don't cost very much. Get four of them rocking and rolling and we are talking serious money.
