RE: RRR #2 gainer on AIM today.28 May 2024 19:00
Found it: noirua: An 80% owned subsidiary of GLEN in DRC has been thought to be interested in bidding
for Red Rock. Two other companies also have a holding in this subsidiary and a bid would
clear up a matter in DRC where all parties would be pleased. This subsidiary was supplied
with full information on Red Rock late last year.
I don't have any more information since last year on the matter. It is clear the Arbitration
may be in the way though that is only my view.
No idea. If a deal is to be done, it could only be for the DRC subsidiary. Faso is now worth serious readies. Why would we let them have assets we want to keep. Separately, people discussing this sort of thing really don't understand how large companies go about these things. I am in a tech company which at various times has been in bed with Bridgestone, Goodyear and Pirelli amongst others. Nothing is straightforward or gets done quickly or without major drama.
I suspect doing a deal with Glencore along the lines of an M&A deal would be too complex. Maybe we could replicate the VUP/Gecamines deal? Involving Gecamines would make it too complex though.
