Nearology. The Damara Fold Belt goes from Southern Zimbabwe through northern Botswana and Northern Namibia: so you can see that it is pretty large. In the report, there is a map.

The reports from Recon and its actual experts as opposed to our accounts receivable "expert", says that the Damara Fold Belt in Recon's acreage continues South/South West into Elephant Oil's acreage. The actual experts say that the DFB is characterised by Whale Back Anticlines. WBA's are the source of the huge oilfields in Iran, Iraq and Kurdistan.

This report https://finance.yahoo.com/news/reconafrica-announces-updated-independent-third-164100730.html says prospective 15.4 bn barrels of oil in place. That is in addition to the earlier report that says 22 trillion cubic feet of gas.

So the prospects are huge and have been identified; what no one knows is if oil and/or gas in present in any particular target, at least until they drill it.

The WBAs continue into Elephant Oil's acreage. If Recon hits what it is aiming for then that is transformative for Elephant Oil. Trolls, not the use of the word "if", it is not the same as the word "will"; they have different meanings.

Note that the DFB also continues West into the 88E/Monitor acreage.

Regardless, RRR has a lot of assets. If news comes up relating to one of those assets, I will post it. It doesn't say anything about any of the other assets.

88E has announced the start of seismic on the DFB, Recon gave an update a few days back saying it was still progressing the potential JV and would be spudding around now. As I said any good news from 88E and Recon is good news for Elephant and in turn RRR.

It has nothing to do with Faso. We await an update.

No one said anything about the points he makes. RRR has a holding in Elephant Oil which has two assets: one in Benin and the second in Namibia. It also has other stuff on the go that may or may not happen.

88E entered into a JV with Monitor in the DFB to the NW of Elephant's acreage: they have started seismic to identify drill targets. Recon is progressing JV talks for the DFB but is spudding about now; likely it was done over the weekend.

Any good news on the DFB from 88E/Monitor and from Recon is good news for Elephant and in turn for RRR. Make your own mind up why Accounts Receivable Boy has a splenetic fit anytime anything not 100% negative is posted.....

News, got some stuff to do today and so won't be posting much. A couple of points.

Most investment management techniques assume the Efficient Market Hypothesis applies. That is that all information that can be known is known and is subsumed in the market price at any one time. From that they build things like the CAPm Model. The whole thing is riddled through with assumptions that may or may not apply and they apply to varying degrees through time as circumstances change.

AIM is not an efficient market. Which is why information is so important. If you have better information (which you can have because it is an inefficient market) then you can manage your upsides and risk better.

Most of what was in that list of MIT modules was in my degree, not the Python stuff. I post on here information that I think is relevant as and when I come across it. The idiot trolls call it ramping: one of the supposed functions of these BBs is information sharing. It seems that trolls with an agenda hate information sharing.

So the RNS says, firm commitments of AUD 109.5Mm: 13.8% discount to the closing price and 9.1% discount to the 10 day VWAP, no warrants. Those are tight terms. They have also have an equipment financing facility. Total pre-production CAPEX is AUD447m for 234k oz pa (planned). The video shows a huge site. NB the feasibility says 4.8m oz resource.

So who in their rights minds lobs in AUD109.5m into a BF gold mining operation and who gives them a equipment financing facility? Mr Super Accountant would have them locked up. It appears that they did the raise in two days.

If you work the numbers through you will see that they are working on producing 22kg/day based on 300 day working year.

West African's market cap is AUD1.069bn.

So more than one party that should know what they are doing is happy invest in BF and lend in BF. Some people have decided regardless of Mr Super Accountant's melodrama about risk, that the risk/reward trade off is worth it.
