Look at the Mcap (£4.3b) vs cash on hand (£6b). With Virgin, Flybe etc. in tatters, IAG will emerge stronger and leaner.

Total deal was in the making for couple of months... You don't just "buy" these things like potatoes in supermarket. A lot of DD goes into making sure you are paying the right price... Total got the deal at bottom barrel price... Tullow had to sell their crown jewel to survive.

I am sure oil will be back one day but that day is 6-9-12 months away me thinks.

Had GKP since past two years, just sold when it hit 88p last week. I fear the demand for oil has absolutely crashed... India reported 66% less usage, UK motor traffic reduced by 60%, no need for Jet fuel, US oil price turned negative... All leads to one conclusion... Now is not the time to invest in Oil. If you are trading, good luck.

Just because Wizz are starting flights doesn't mean there is demand for it. Not yet anyways. Would you travel in the current climate? Current Heathrow flight capacity has crashed by 96%, there is a reason for that.

I expect SP to recover in short term and Georgian economy to be relatively less impacted by the lockdown compared to other countries. Hopefully back 1200p soon.

Why would govt bail them out? Govt would need to bail all airlines to keep the competition equal and that's not feasible. Rights issues at deep discount or expensive debt issue is on the card for all airlines me thinks.

Let's see how many businesses survive this brutal onslaught before thinking about next year. Focus on next 3 months, they are absolutely critical.

I can understand Ted Baker is a buy at this level. They recently received £78m cash which is a boon in current market. At current level, Ted's market cap is £55m which is quite low by any standard.

I don't understand Liberium analysis of EZJ. Airlines is an expensive business, leasing planes, airport slots, paying pilots etc. Who ever has bought EZJ at 600p is smoking something really good.

I am not normally with shorters but I have to agree with this one. Don't put your money in airline stocks... There is no business currently and not likely in next 3 months at least. There are plenty of other stocks which offer better value both for short and long term investment.

Remember, this is still high margin profit making business so 50p is a reasonable price.

How do you know lockdown earlier who have changed things? No one knows!! You may end up seriously playing with people's mental health. It's a tricky decision when you are in the job deciding how many less people die vs. how many people stop becoming sane vs how to totally stop the economy!!

I expect other builders to follow. Really hoped for no lockdown but hey ho. It will impact the economy like never seen before.
