Share price23 Jan 2016 13:16
Despite the official share price recently showing the bid at 1.1p the offer has remained pretty firm and generally speaking, over a longer period of time, it has been hard to buy many shares under 1.5p.
The point I make is that there cannot be many sellers under 1.5p, the real bid at the close on Friday was 1.35p.
The current market value of this company just exceeds £6m, they have £4m cash and 45% of a Turkish low operating cost which has been independently valued by brokers at £15m.
The board have cut G&A costs aggressively, all exploration spend in Africa has been put on hold or farmed out to JV partners + the other Turkish assets remain of value, Muratdere in particular. Their stake in AIM listed Goldstone is worth about £700k.
Even in the current climate I noticed that non producing Mariana Resources, with assets in Turkey and other jurisdictions has a market value of double that of Stratex. It is a good comparison.
Stratex is very undervalued currently but the market makers are historically very fast to move the shares up on any modest buying demand. If gold continues it's run, or value investors start to buy in then the share price will move accordingly.
