Those belittling the alluvial income need to take a reality check, it started at the worse possible time - WINTER - the rainy season in Moz, further they were setting up plant which, again, can be telling.
Colin Bird should have lowered expectations IMO, suggesting to market that the best revenues will come in Q2 & Q3. Unfortunately you need to treat the market like an idiot at times, anyone with mining nous will understand the problems associated with heavy rains.
It is obvious that with better weather ahead revenues will ramp up. CB said last week he expects the alluvial's will remain profitable, there will be average, good, exceptional months he suggested.
It is rather interesting that the folk who spoke to the Co last Saturday are far more upbeat than those that did not, Colin Bird is a gritty northerner he says it as it is, he says he has imminent plans/talks for the hard rock, that is enough for me.
