RE: Why the race to find Covid-19 vaccines is far from over22 Nov 2020 18:32

The vaccine from Pfizer and Moderna are messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines.
Conventional vaccines are produced using weakened forms of the virus, but mRNAs use only the virus's genetic code.
mRNA vaccine enters cells and tells them to create antigens. These antigens are recognised by the immune system that ultimately produces cytotoxic T and B cells to kill the virus.. and prepare it to fight coronavirus.
No virus is needed to create an mRNA vaccine. This means to me something is going to change in the normal created body cell?
BTW ...Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna vaccines have been shown to provoke both an antibody ,and T-cell response that hunt the infected cells in the body and destroy them..
Nearly all effective vaccines induce both responses.
AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine called ChAdOx1 nCoV-19 - uses a harmless, weakened or dead version of a common virus which causes a cold in chimpanzees.Production of this kind of vaccination has been tested and given to people before with different infections with success and safety.
All above vaccines efficacy has been proven but no one knows how long they last and then the Pfizer and moderna vaccine is a different all together and not tried before on mass for long enough as far as I know as they have been rushed to save the immediate needs and the economy of the world..and that is why many people specifically the younger generation are hesitant and I understand this..and the FDA under emergency power is convening to approve them with far less data and only once in histrory the FDA did this in 2005 against Anthrax and in different circumstances.......the current criticisms have been silenced because Covid is killing masses of people and destroying the economy of the world...
If you ask me..will I take the pfizer and Moderna vaccine...no but I will take Astra Zeneca one..
