LL...yes true as you need over 60% of population vaccinated to be able to achieve herd immunity..in our current circumstances.

Cont....I was just reading some of postings of last night..regarding side effects of the current vaccines...
Mild reaction to vaccine is a good thing as it indicates that your immune system is responding well to the vaccine and readying to fight the virus..it is not a bad thing at all..

The more transmission =more infections will lead to more mutations and difficulties in controlling the virus.....lockdown tier3 and 4 are a must, otherwise the virus will kill far more of us and destroy the economy and our way of life.
Many out there need to be educated....otherwise the current vaccines will end to be of little value if we carry on helping the virus to mutate..

LTH here most definitely...accumulated over time big number...
We are just beginning to be noticed by the market and long way to go for tge sp backed by government initiative for hydrogen and clean energy...perfectly suited to extract energy from waste at current climate....

I can only see some covid related shares up and a few defensive stocks....
Travel,leisure,retailers airlines will be hit hardest....
We are the lucky ones in sclp..me thinking..

My take…
Virus mutation is common in viruses. Seasonal flu virus mutates around 50 times a year and that is why we need a new flu jab every year as the vaccine needing to be redesigned to be effective.
The current Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are based on the same principle and designed as far as we know on this current Covid19 virus and not the mutation one. Also these vaccines defend us but not stopping the transmission completely and the vaccinated individual still gets the infection but mildly at its worst scenario.The big question now are these vaccines as effective against the mutant ones…I doubt this. These vaccines even if they are effective to lesser degree on the new mutation virus and leaving some viruses in our respiratory tracts will lead to rapid transmission still as these new mutations seem far more virulent than the original one. This may explain the sudden fears of the scientists and politicians to lock us down again and basically cancelling Christmas gatherings...
it seems scary ..this new mutations that we have no real vaccine against it.
Sclp new innovative vaccine design gives you all the answers and basically if successful in trials will be the one logical solution to defend,kill the virus,stop transmission and very long lasting. It probably work against all viruses in the same subtypes of coronavirus .

Well I can see the sp will go much further and faster building on hopes and expectations initially then on M&A and more ii involvement..add to this government financial support to speed this new vaccine..
All good and this week coming will be revealing...

Chief Scientific Adviser Sir Patrick Vallance said: "The new variant contains 23 different changes, many of them associated with changes in the protein that the virus makes. This is an unusually large number of variants. It's also got variants in areas of the virus that are known to be associated with how the virus binds to cells and enters cells. So there are some changes, which cause concern in terms of how the virus looks."
He added: "This virus transmits and spreads fast."
The variant may have originated in the UK, Sir Patrick said: "There's a large outbreak in the UK, it may have started here, we don't know for sure."

Then...”In the South East, 43% of the virus is now this new variant, in Eastern England it's 59%, and in London 62%."
Rates of hospitalisation were higher where the new variant was more prevalent.”
