Will the release of government and cabinet office communications reveal the real reason why our contract to supply Covid tests was cancelled. If skulduggery is revealed we may be claiming substantial damages over and above the value of our contracts.
HarChris, like you I have reduced my buying average by buying at these prices and share your optimism for the eventual price of the share. I will be patient and not be frightened off the share. I believe the outcome with the DHSC dispute will not negatively affect the company.
I thought the presentation was good. The head count has been reduced to -~120 approx. Clearly a great deal of difficult restructuring has gone on parallel research and development continuing, not easy to achieve. I feel confident for the future of the company.
The past winter has brought high levels of respiratory disease to every major economy. I am looking forward to the last quarter of reported results for 2022. If there is no significant rise in sales during this period then the company is in serious trouble regardless of the DHSC. I am hoping for improved sales.
COVID and other respiratory diseases are rampant and have been for months everywhere. Tests will be performed mainly in NHS laboratories in the UK. Big purchase contracts with DHSC are past news, what I want to know is how much of the NHS work are we supplying to and the same overseas. We should be on a big rise in sales for this year compared to last year. I want to see indications of how we performed in this environment. Have some confidence that we have some of this huge market and respiratory winter disease come annually. If we have no foothold get rid of the sales team as this environment although not like the pandemic is perfect fit our main products. Cheer up.
Poidster, the Boomed Mag covers all pathology disciplines and therefore is not focused on virology. Perhaps if the have a decent mailing of media addresses direct marketing to Virology Lab senior staff might be more effective. As I say perhaps, but if the marketing team are any good that might be their strategy.
What a foolish statement, before the introduction of vacines, testing plus lockdowns, masks and hygiene were the the only protective measures we had. Have you already forgotten how many deaths per day we had.
The important factor for the tests in a high throughput lab is that they are in 96 test format and not what instruments the labs have as the tests can no doubt run on multiple instruments which commonly have a 96 well format.
The UK has the world's highest death rate for COVID this week with 71 deaths per million population our nearest rivals are Italy and Russia who each have less than half our death rate. This world beating data doesn't even make the news if COVID free Britain. Meantime our world beating government stops testing.
