Welcome back old friend,
By the media it seems tlw has commited to the next phase and chose amatuk as its next target.
Also by the media the well will be drilled this year but that its f.o dependent.
They have till 26 to drill so all options are on the table..

My guess is that the 2023 drilling is based on completion of an ongoing farm out negotiations behind the scenes..

Is equivalent to 30m barrels, so a p50 discovery is around 10m barrels net to deltic, because its near existing infrostructure lets take 5$ for barrel in the ground and its around the current value.
A success will drive the sp up no doubt and there is another well coming but the risk reward at this level is not the most appealing when taking an exploration risk.

This is an email response: "the first (3 year) Renewal Period for the Orinduik Licence ends on 14th January 2023 - so the Orinduik JV partners are faced with a decision to enter the 2nd Renewal Period (3 years) and commit to drilling a well to the Cretaceous as well as relinquishing 20% of the area. Presumably these decisions have already been agreed by the JV partners with the government notified (normally happens 3 months prior to the end of a given exploration period)?
As to the Tullow position (60% W.I. & operator) - who knows what is happening. One would hope that they are at an advanced stage of farming-down or exiting somehow - as they appear to have a very limited appetite for 'non-infrastucture led' exploration drilling in general - and clearly, this issue needs to be resolved before the next drilling campaign at Orinduik. "
Transformational news for eco!!!
All eco's blocks are near m&p's and exxons block but tamar, guy and sharon are adjucent.
A 5 well campaign by exxon next door means eco is right on spot, a discovery means eco's blocks will value 100-200m$ each depends on 2d/3d/drill ready..
Its just facts, tlw must report the target selected and relinquish 20% of the block in order to move to the next stage, the dead line is 15.1 but they need to provide their decision 3 months before, so That was sep', the fact they are waiting for the lastmoment suggests they are negotiating.

The recording..
i think early 2023 we should get news about the farm out and about the target selection in orinduik so news looking forward should bode well with the sp as now its reflecting the gazania results, the tlw farm out is a major catalyst and is the rabbit in the hat that can surprise us at any time, its about tlw picking the right offer at the right time so no one can make prediction but once its done orinduik will create a lot of value.
tlw at its situation would want a carried two wells campaign in orinduik for sure so they will have to give up 30-40% and then its drilling time, might be before the 3b/4b campaign at the same time and we are multiples from the current sp, and if africa oil is aiming to buy us out they will need to make an offer before that, eco got acreage in namibia that is the size of the all kavango basin and we all know how reco was valued on spike... billions of dollars....
The next well is a company maker and its around 12 months from now, but there are some corner stones on the way- farm out on block 3b4b, target selection orinduik, updated cpr 3b4b, farm out tlw and probably some more action in namibia and perhaps more a&m, and dont forget aoi are planning a buy out that will be relevant only at 60p+ if it will progress...
So the next 12-18 months is a company maker.
I think its waiting for tlw to farm out and farm outs take time, one would assume the next phase and commitment play a role in negotiation, actually we are not waiting for a drilling decision but for a farm out after which all will be clear..
