Going to be a mountain to climb for England tonight against South Africa. England's achilles heel whenever they come up against South Africa at the world cup is their scrummaging. In the 2007 and 2019 rugby world cup finals the South African front row dominated the scrums and England gave away early penalties in kicking distance for collapsing the scrum allowing South Africa to go 2 or 3 penalties up into an early lead. From that point England were always chasing the game leaving gaps which South Africa capitalised on. They need to get this sorted. If England can get their act together with the scrummaging they have a chance. 🎶🎶SWING LOW SWEET CHARIOT.......🎶🎶

We've had major disruptions last week or so with ferry services, both internal inter island and the ferries to the Scottish mainland.

Are you for real! The GFC was a GLOBAL EVENT caused by the collapse of Lehman Brothers, an American bank! You cannot pin that on Labour and Gordon Brown. And as I have already stated I am a life long Tory voter.

The UK Financial Markets did not take a big hit when Labour won the 1997 GE.

Labour won the by elections with big swings but the turnout at both was far lower than the last GE in 2019. Turnout of voters at the Mid Bedford by election was 44%; at the 2019 GE the voter turnout was 74%. Turnout of voters at the Tamworth by election was 36%; at the 2019 GE the voter turnout was 64%. So how many of those stay at home voters this time round are disgruntled Tory voters who would not vote Labour?

Labour have won the 2 by elections with massive swings to overturn huge Conservative majorities in Mid Bedfordshire, and Tamworth! Looks inevitable they will win the General Election next year!

Stop moving the goalposts. It was example's of major world issue's whilst Labour were in Government which you had stated were none, not to start a debate about the morals of the Gulf war conflict.

Markets took nearly 3 years before starting to recover from the Dot.com crash. And the UK Banks had to be rescued by the UK Government during the GFC. Did the UK Banks have to be rescued by the UK Government during COVID? And I seem to remember the furlough scheme during COVID saved jobs from being lost. Indeed coming out of COVID unemployment did not seem to be a problem observing the unemployment figures, the problem was not enough workers to fill the vacancies.

By the way I have been a life long Tory voter. If I could I would vote Reform at the next GE but they will not have a candidate in the constituency where I live.
