Lloyds Banking Group PLC (LSE:LLOY) is Bank of America's top UK banking pick.

In a note to clients, the broker said "a shallower margin decline, more non interest income support and a substantial Q4 buyback make Lloyds our top pick."

"In contrast we see weak profitability and capital distributions from underperform-rated Barclays and VMUK," it added.

What controls!There are none! This is evident by the amount of migrants who originate from countries outside the EU that manage to enter the current Schengen area without checks, and then travel unhindered through several countries across Europe to the French coast on the English, channel where the French authorities turn a blind eye to the camps that emerge whilst these migrants await their turn to cross the channel in small boats to the UK.

I think the expectations that some seem to have regarding the sale of Daily Telegraph and possible sale of Scottish Widows Annuity Book are going to disappoint some when Final Results and distributions to share holders are announced in February.

Goldman Sachs and Bloomberg Economics both upgraded their outlook for growth and predicted the Bank of England will reduce borrowing costs starting in May. The central bank released figures showing a jump in mortgage approvals and consumer borrowing and a slower decline in money supply.
