I make the dividend yield at yesterdays closing price 6.1% with F/Y dividend for 2023 of 2.76p.

Not how I would describe it! It fell 3.7% yesterday and has limped up 1% this morning. 🤨

Property1.....the Market and Lloyds got of to a good start when markets opened yesterday, then for no apparent reason started falling sharply from 08:50. This was well before the US Inflation data was released.

Why the sudden fall in Market and Lloyds share price yesterday after a good start? Looks like the City wide boys got the nod yesterday morning that military action by the US and UK against targets in Yemen was imminent.

Lloyds paid out over £20B for the PPI mis-selling. The article that has been posted says that "This anti-competitive conduct meant UK consumers were paying too much – to the tune of £1bn."!

Would it not have made sense to buy 5000 shares when the price was 43p, 44p,45p, 46p......rather than wait a SP gap to develop and then close???

A new UK ISA wrapper is one of the initiatives being considered to help boost interest in the UK’s flagging stock market, according to reports today.

Representatives of firms in the City reportedly met with Chancellor Jeremy Hunt today to discuss ways to boost London’s appeal as a place for firms to list.

Chief executives of fund managers Abrdn, Schroders and HSBC Holdings were among those at the breakfast meeting, according to Sky News.

Last year, Hunt unveiled a series of reforms aimed at stopping the drain of companies leaving the LSE for New York and stimulating more institutional investment in UK-listed companies.

Further measures are expected in March, including potentially the UK ISA, which would funnel investment from retail investors into London-listed companies.

Kick ICT, a Scottish information technology service provider, has secured a “significant investment” from LDC, a private equity investor that is part of Lloyds Banking Group.

The new investment from LDC marks the successful exit from previous Kick ICT backer Business Growth Fund (BGF), which invested £8.5m into the company in November 2021.

BGF said the exit delivered a return of double its original investment, or £17m.
