-So technically not delayed per their language, but it’s also not done as many expected by now.

Optimisation work ongoing to increase throughput without expanding the mine footprint — could improve project economics if it works.

EIA submission still targeted for 31 Dec 2025, tied to the USD 36 m Just Transition Fund grant — that’s now the key short-term milestone.

Preliminary Mining Permit granted for Cinovec South (valid to 2033) — a tangible step, but still only preliminary.

Financials:

Cash at 30 Sept: A$1.087 m.

Net cash used in quarter: A$1.47 m.

Runway: less than one quarter at current spend — so they’ll need to raise capital soon.

A$3 m placement completed in August + refinancing of the Dukla loan (non-dilutive).

DFS will always be great to see, im more excited for offtakes however

I was here back when it was £1.06p in 2021.

I'm expecting it to comfortably surpass that once the first offtake is announced.

The European Union must ramp up support for its critical minerals sector and allow greater state intervention to counter China’s rare earth export curbs, the European Initiative for Energy Security (EIES) said Wednesday.

In a new report, the EIES urged the EU to earmark “substantial, dedicated” funding for critical minerals in its next budget, drawing from existing energy and decarbonization lines. The group warned that Europe risks falling behind China and the United States, both of which are advancing state-backed mineral strategies.

Interesting further was this part:

"The group called on European institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Investment Bank to take LARGER EQUITY STAKES in mining projects, following the US government’s recent investment in rare earths producer MP Materials"

The politician is likely highly linked to CEZ.

Currently we are seeing an increase in Li prices, which means figures / forecasts can be further improved and favorable for Cinovec. Especially empowers offtakes which will be the real item that rockets this stock back north of £1+.

I'm an LTH, of course I feel the others frustration, but if you sit back and relax you can clearly see, Energy prices are reducing in the EU and Czech especially are going to reduce further, Li price increasing etc, this is playing very well right now for the sector as a whole.

The timeline does show a systematic issue with projecting DFS completion accurately. Early ambiguity led to optimism in later periods, but repeated updates show a persistent inability to hit targets. This is a classic pattern of optimistic timelines in project management, followed by successive extensions.

DFS updates start in April 2022. At this point, COVID restrictions were easing in many regions, but major supply chain disruptions, travel restrictions, and workforce shortages were still affecting global operations. Delays were also expected in data collection, site visits, lab testing, and vendor deliverables.

However a significant factor in the delays during 2024–2025 was the decision to relocate the mine site (announced April 2024). This move introduced additional complexity, requiring redesign of infrastructure, updated technical assessments, revised permitting, and logistical adjustments, all of which directly impacted the project and DFS timeline.

Therefore Id add that any items pre-site relocation are worthless in argument now.

Not a single RNS for October, nothing from the leaders.

Really positive development. The ministry’s statement makes it clear the Czech authorities support the project and that the updated spatial plan now formally accommodates Cinovec’s mining and processing infrastructure. With the planning process in its final stage and no new EIA required, it feels like the path was finally clear for the DFS to be completed and published.

Everything is narrowing toward a lithium/electrification boom in Czech. Cinovec gives the raw resource, ČEZ provides the power and industrial capacity, and partnerships like Rolls-Royce (SMRs) and Taiwanese investments close the loop.

It’s a rare alignment of natural resource, technology, energy, and geopolitics — and for Czech, it’s potentially transformative for the nation. This is a very positive time, and more reason why a DFS and off takes now are far better placed than last year
