The initial lead in time of 4 years for Project Elephant has probably been cut in half maybe sooner.
If they can get the Mopani's facilities refurbished in 6 months and fully operational in a year we could possibly see 31 000 tons of copper been produced as early as end of next year.
What an incredible achievement. To bring forward a project with 48 000 + million dollar earnings potential by 2 maybe 3 years just highlights yet again Leon's / Colin's foresight and ability to take advantage of the current copper prices.
Exciting times ahead! So much more to come with Cyprus on the near horizon!

Mmm.. so everyone by now knows Jubilee is going to have spectacular results yet the current share price has been stagnant the last few weeks.. I think all of us were expecting a nice increase in share price going into the release of the 6 month operation/earnings update.
I'm still very positive as ever but a little frustrated and wonder if we will see a bit of a dead cat bounce next week as everyone scrambles to sell on the good news.

Another interesting fact is...
Since 22nd of February Jubilee has only increased by 6 percent on the South African stock exchange... even after all the good news.

The article says the 20 000 tons of copper released into the Chinese market was "taken up in seconds" with bids as much as $10500 a ton.

About a week ago I said the Chinese copper auction won't go cheap.... seems like I was right :)

Jubilee holding up well today considering the 3 largest platinum miners are taking a massive dive of 6 plus percent today. Not sure why as metals prices haven't moved much. Nice to see Jubilee diversification into other metals paying off!!

My guess for copper is 2300 (6 months).

Yes Mikie, this break through could be a real game changer.. putting Jubilee Metals as the go to consultant/processor in tailings.
Also great results coming out of Cyprus which isn't even factored into the current share price.

It has been 33 days since the last RNS. This the longest period inbetween RNS's in the last couple of years.
I would say there is a "Mammoth" of updates coming in possibly the next 6 days. How Exciting!!
I can't wait to hear what type of earnings we can expect with Cobalt going forward. At 50 000 USA dollars a ton this could really add incredible value especially if this new "break through" is adding real value.
By the end of next week we and the rest of the globe will all know who Jubilee Metals is.. just kidding..but they should definitely spark a few more investors.

Chinese released a statement that they auction 20 000 tons of copper into the Chinese market in July.

My question is.. at what price will they auction the copper.. surely it won't go cheap.
Also no mention of Cobalt been auctioned?
Does this mean Cobalt can go higher from here?
