You do begin to question what news it would take for the SP advance! On a relatively positive market day plus news of another contract this time worth 1 billion and the SP still retreats. Ugh

Just recently had a buyout situation with Hyve which has now completed, the SP was almost continually either higher or at least equal to the offer price.

Johnny, Not really bonkers as Nationwide is a mutual and have members not shareholders so the payment is rewarding members instead of paying dividends which banks do to shareholders.

Don't really understand why the SP goes down most days and is now quite some way from the potential bids (387p & 400p), has anybody got a theory as to why this should be? GLA

Thanks JG. But guess that although SP would certainly decline on no deal, might it not be so bad due to the fact that we have had two sets of interest at those price levels.

Anyway I'm seeing it through as would be gutted if takeover went ahead and I was out after having held these for an eternity. GLA

What is the feeling if there is no deal will the SP then revert back to previous price levels?

Believe it is deadline day for a decision on the buy out this Thursday, hopefully we shall see some fireworks early this week.
