Hippy what you have described is what happens in a normal company with robust internal controls and governance. That’s the problem.

The trouble is pdub is that this incompetence seems deep rooted all the way from the office junior to the junior CEO.

You seem to be taking comfort in the fact that another firm has experienced a similar catastrophic fall in its market capitalisation. The majority of BMN investors don’t hold positions in Largo so I fail to see the relevance of this comparison and it they did it would just compound their misery.

Talking of ATM wasn’t that another FF (Fortune F UP ). Sold BMNs stake in this company and the share price has risen considerably. The list seems never ending.

Pablog glad that switch worked off well for you. I’ve never really understood why posters get so affected by what gets posted on here. I’ve seen it in the workplace and invariably the individual concerned either has a massive ego or self confidence issue. Bizarre to me. The more research I do the more it’s becoming apparent that fortune overpaid for certain assets. At the time he was lauded for being the consummate corporate financier but these assets were cheap for a reason - hugely impaired and in need of significant capital. That capital investment has brought this outfit to its knees, ground zero if you like. I’m amazed at just how naïve he was.

Can’t help thinking that that poll was rigged somewhat after all we are talking about SA !

Also critch this hypothesis is more applicable to institutional investors which BMN seem sadly unable to attract (I wonder why that is) so you are left with the unsophisticated retail investors who, lets be honest, don’t have a scooby and think that just because it’s gone down 90% it’s good value. Very sad really as they need protecting from themselves unfortunately.

Larry when you get a chance do a bit of research into the efficient market hypothesis: that states that asset prices reflect all available information. A direct implication is that it is impossible to "beat the market" consistently on a risk-adjusted basis since market prices should only react to new information.

This seems at odds with your earlier post.
