Good afternoon senseman,
Good post about the departments Putin may have to contend with shortly. A sense of normality and easier dialogue with the West should be much easier once he is off the scene.
That is as long as the next leader adopts a more pragmatic, diplomatic approach.
Enjoy the afternoon all.

Good afternoon Vetta,
Here's hoping it is a big money maker. After all, that's why we invest.
Enjoy the rest of the day my friend,

Good morning Vetta,
That's another decent post from yourself.
You seem very confident and certain about the Chinese deal . Well my friend there are only two certainties in life and they are death and taxes.
I've been share dealing for almost forty years and have had some money makers like Dana Petroleum and a couple of damp squibs like Atlantic Telecom. Let me tell you that potential is one thing and reality is quite another .
If as you suspect the Chinese are still buying shares then what they are doing is "averaging down " their holding.
The next couple of months could be very interesting and neither you or I or any other humble private investor is going to be let in on the know until big decisions have been made.
I am still hopeful for a share price north of 1p but am not sure when that will happen. It's all down to interpretation.
Enjoy the day all,
Hairy
Good morning Vetta ,
I have to say I generally admire your posts and outlook for the company. However, I am a little concerned about a couple of your recent comments.
The first is that you wish the our new partners to take a firm hold of the company. My thoughts to that are that with 13.38% of the shareholding the other 86.62% would have to roll over and do as a good sheepdog would do . I can't see that happening unless some of the big shareholders are aligned to them.
Secondly, this morning you suspect that Suzhuo will still be buying shares in the company and that would be good for the share price. Pray tell me who would benefit from buying at a suppressed price other than Suzhuo themselves? All they are doing is building up a larger stake in the company at a cheaper price than they paid for their 13.38% . Quite soon they may be in a position to dictate policy and perhaps launch a hostile takeover and it is anyone's guess what price they will value each share as we have already seen is open to an awful lot of conjecture.
Suzhuo are a multi- billion dollar company, they know how to make money and you can be sure they won't offer any more than is required to gain control of Prem .
Personally , I think this could be an eventful couple of months coming up. I just hope it is for the benefit of the humble private investor such as myself.
Vetta, you appear to like your proverbs , well here's one for you "Be careful what you wish for ".
Keep up the good work and enjoy the weekend,
Hairy
Good afternoon aesopian ,
I concur completely. The prices set give me a lot more confidence in the company going forward.
Dare I say we may have bottomed out and can look forward to a prolonged period of upward travel?
Time will tell.
Enjoy the weekend folks,
Hairy
Good afternoon all,
Interesting times ahead I think.
This may go the same way as Dana Petroleum when KNOC launched a hostile bid all those years ago and be a real money maker for shareholders or it may just plod along for a while yet and come to very little. The third option is that Prem will be a success in its own way but many on here would be a bit sceptical about that given the history up to now.
I recall someone on here saying a while back that 2022 was going to be the year of Lithium . Whatever happens, it is time to get cracking or 2023 will be upon us . We want to get going before there is a saturation of Lithium on the market and the price drops away.
Whether it be a "gold "rush or a "white gold" rush they don't last forever.
Enjoy the afternoon all,

Fit like again Rangers,
Aye , I agree. The oil and gas industry is a hugely complex industry with time being the ultimate enemy. It takes so long for anything to happen. Bureaucracy is one hurdle but logistics and having the right kit to do the job is quite another.
Its only when there are industry disasters that things move a wee bit quicker for a brief moment and then as in the case of Piper Alpha or Deepwater Horizon more quality control checks and procedures get introduced.
Back at the time of Deepwater Horizon, BP had a ecological disaster on their hands and because it was special completion gear required to address the problem they came to us at B-H , Bridge of Don to machine , assemble , test and certificate two Striker Safety valves.
BP inspectors were onsite 24 hours a day till the job was done and shipped out.
We got a lot of orders from BP after that until the oil price crash . It was good times in the industry back then .
Here's hoping for a good SP return with Hurricane although I won't hold my breath.

Good morning Rangers,
Good post.
I too would expect there to be an awful lot of discussion going on between the parties involved.
Availability and location of a fully serviced semi is a hurdle to be taken care of as they are located all round the world and not just mothballed up the Firth at Dingwall anymore.
It will also take time after that to drill and do the completions . This could take several months from now to get more production going. It is deep water so a lot more pipe and packer- strings will be needed, they may have to be made to a specific integrity with upgraded material, elastomers , seals and directional.
I haven't even touched on recruiting a crew as that is another hurdle. Aye , a lot of guys got paid off from the oil industry over the last few years but how many over 50's who may now have comfortable onshore jobs would want to go offshore again so training again would take time for a new crew.
I worked in completions at Baker-Hughes in Aberdeen for a number of years and could see the planning, engineering knowledge and time it took to get a job crated up and sent off to the rig somewhere in the world. It is sad to note that the facility I worked at is in the process of getting its plant removed and shut down. Back in 2015 we were the top completions facility in the world, very soon it will be an empty building.
I can't see things happening very quickly at Hurricane because of time and the other hurdles mentioned but I would rather see a thoughtful decision being made and the SP rising significantly in the medium term.
Lots of good folk in Aberdeenshire lost money in Hurricane a few years ago, let's not have that happen again.
Enjoy the snow ( if you are in Aberdeenshire),

Good evening RedT,
Good post my friend.
I agree, the share price can move for a number of reasons and not just the extra shares which are priced higher than the current sp.
Roman also makes a good post for the arithmetic regarding the extra shares as well .
Time will tell in the morning .
Night all,

Good afternoon RedT,
I concur with you. Payment could be made and then an RNS signaling confirmation released very soon afterwards.
However, I do get Bick , Johnny and Shiny comments . These guys have been in for quite a while now and it could be interpreted as a game that George is playing with long term holders who have seen the price drop from over 3.5p to around 1 per cent of that .
I bought in at 0.04p so I have nothing to moan about at the present price , however, I do appreciate clear and concise communication .
The end of the first quarter is almost upon us, I would like to see a wee flourish and a positive RNS to finish it off .
Here's hoping,

Good afternoon Bumble and Bonkers,
Good posts from the pair of you.
Uranium is just one of the minerals we are chasing in one of the more controversial forms of generating electricity.
However, in many countries around the world nuclear is going to be the option that governments consider. In the UK I would imagine there will be opposition from NIMBY groups and the environmentalists/ anti-fracking brigade will have another bone to chew on .
A pragmatic approach will have to be adopted to convince people of alternative forms of power generation away from oil and gas.
Here's to good times ahead all ,
Hairy
Good morning Johnny,
Good post my friend.
I am quite pleased with our SP rise this morning though.
I wonder if we'll see an after hours RNS ? Time will tell.
Enjoy the day everyone,
Hairy
Good evening Apache ,
Having dedicated training centres for specific skill sets would be good. However, the downside of the oil industry is that there are an awful lot of stages .
I was involved in the " completions" side of the industry which in itself is a vast subject with hundreds of different types of tool ranging from Packers ,PBR , Fluid loss control valves, Strikers, Liner-hangers and ESP.
For an apprentice working with us at Baker-Hughes it was a three year course as there was so much to learn. Torquing and high-pressure testing either hydrostatic or gas was another challenge altogether.
What a lot of the oil companies did back in the early 2000's was take on mechanics from the automotive industry and fast-tracked many of them through the common types of tool .
After Piper Alpha, inspection and quality control was ramped up both on and offshore through the Lord Cullen report to make sure nothing like that would happen again. Unfortunately it did with Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico. Since then, third-party inspection of complex oil tools has become fairly common.
A lot of companies still do very good mechanical engineering apprenticeships where the skills are transferable. Score whose headquarters are at Peterhead and have a global presence is one of them. Opito is another technology apprenticeship scheme.
Night all,
Hairy
Good afternoon Apache and Lowflier,
Good posts from you both . I agree we should be using the North-Sea more than what we do and developing WOS .
However, the eco- brigade will try to slow the process down regardless of how hard the financial consequences hit the pockets of UK families.
It will also take time to mobilise a crew and locate rigs for production and the thing is we need oil and gas now .
As for the crew element, I agree many years of experience has been paid off in the past and it takes time to train up a new crew. Would there be the appetite among the older guys to go out again? Even onshore we can see in Aberdeen how many old oil buildings in Dyce are standing empty or are up for sale .
Personally, I had a good ten years in the oil game onshore building and testing tools . I'm not sure I would fancy going back on shifts again and missing doing fun stuff at the weekend with the family. Then again, I'm the wrong side of fifty .
Only time will tell what direction our oil and gas industry will head .
Enjoy the afternoon all,
Hairy
Good evening Bumble,
I concur. Another nibble below 1.5 p would be nice.
Night all,

Good evening Bumble,
I can see where you are coming from. Not all shares are going to peak at the same time so it may be worthwhile to " skim the froth off the top " of one that has spiked and put the proceeds into POW .
I have my realistic target price with certain investments and will " skim" when they have been reached.
We have a very diverse range of projects with POW and it will only take a couple of big strikes to propel the market cap and profile of the company in a seriously northern trajectory.
Patience is indeed a virtue,

Good evening Carpy,
Here's hoping it is a smooth handover conducted in a gentlemanly style.
Pleasant evening all,

Good evening folks ,
That is a nice little rise in the SP today when a good few miners were down. There is still a long way to go before we reach 3.5p per share again but the journey has to have a starting point.
Perhaps any dividend payment I receive from my FTSE 100 investments will trickle into POW .
Enjoy the evening all,
Hairy
Genuine investors,
Concentrate on the company and its potential. What has gone on in the last few years has not been pretty and many good people have lost a lot of cash to the previous leaders.
I trust things are more in order now and that it wont reincarnate into another lifestyle company.
Have a pleasant evening all,
Hairy
Good evening SenseM,
A wee bit of decorum is not a lot to ask from contributors to the board. . Civility and manners cost nothing.
Some of the companies I invest in have perfectly civilised boards such as POW , others like PREM can be a dog pit .
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but if you find that some commentators have to be heard above the rest then all I can say is "Houston, we have a problem ".
People have many different reasons to post on a board, some are attention seeking , many are genuine investors with the best interests of the company in mind and others are disruptors who trade on a small percentage increase.
With Hurricane and its previous stormy existence it would be quite easy to be influenced by some of the b0ll0cks posted on here .
Patience is a virtue folks,
Enjoy the evening all ,
