They government will still need Rail companies to run the services. They will need to pay a fee to these companies like Fgp to carry out the services, but all revenue will be collected by the government.
It's an interesting one.... But it's not gonna happen overnight.
Companies like fgp will become contractors, paid a fee to carry out train / bus services.
They government still need us...!

Looking ahead to Monday, we’re expecting up to 60 sets to complete the safety checks and be ready for service, which means we’ll run the new May timetable with some adjustments to services to reflect the IETs available from Hitachi. We will be running 99% of the services in the timetable

The investigations show that the cracks are stress corrosion cracks. They aren’t structural and are not on a part of the train that bears any weight or experiences any dynamic forces nor is there any risk of these parts detaching.

The investigations by Hitachi, and the independent review by engineering safety experts Ricardo Rail, have concluded that the trains can safely go back into service.

Each train will have three checks prior to coming into service. The plans have been scrutinised by the Office of Rail and Road and on Wednesday night our Company Board meeting agreed the risk assessment process for the reintroduction of the IETs. 

All other companies using IETs have returned them to traffic under the same risk assessment process.

Everything opens up tomorrow, and we are going to facilitate travel all over our networks. Half term coming up, summer holiday staycations. Vaccinations being delivered according to plan. Over 40s will have 2 jabs by August. All the above, help strengthen the UK economy.

I thought that the RNS on 13th May was largely very positive. It was just a shame that on the 13th the US depressed the markets with their inflation worries and sell off.
Still have a Order book of $7.1bn, up c9% on 31 December 2020 with good growth in Consultancy and Operations.
Not a bad buy in price right now. This is definitely heading in the right direction which is up.!

Nope cinema is not dead. There's a massive demand for films to be be watched on the big screen.
Might take a while for cinemas to get back to capacity, but the UK is doing well with vaccines so back to normal by Q3 and Q4.
