Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
Calm down. It's a tiny percentage of her wealth. I'm probably more committed financially than her.
You've got to hand it to Winnifrith here. To make a call that this would drop to 5p from £1 required balls of steel and absolute conviction in the face of abuse from holders, especially the telegram group cult. He stuck to his message and it looks like 5p is coming. Amazing stuff. Begrudgingly, well done Tom.
Hi, why were there no results on Friday? Will we get a notification RNS on when they are expected? Can't be far off now....
The reaction today feels like an overreaction to me.
Well he was right last time.
What has this place become?? School playground stuff here. Embarrassed to be associated with it so I'm off. Good luck all.
JW suddenly said he would stop replying to comments on his YouTube channel, despite previously being very responsive. The timing of that is suspicious. Also has been much less active on YouTube over recent weeks. This share stinks.
Agree. This is dodgy as fcuk.
After hyping everyone up on numerous podcasts over the last month, JD needs to come on one today to communicate what has gone wrong and how he is going to put it right. It’s the least he can do and is part of his responsibility to shareholders.
Are they obliged to sell? I thought they would hold on for the forthcoming results and sell at a higher price
Again?
Some thoughts on the app having trialled it for Wireless this weekend.
Pros:
- The idea is great and novel and I can see why people are interested
- Switching between views is seamless
- No lag
Cons:
- I'm finding the app difficult to use.
- You need your mobile device to be held vertically at all times which is awkward and not sustainable for a whole gig. People typically hold their devices at 45 degree angles.
- The zoom in/out function is badly needed. The view from the left/right pit is too close - you need to zoom out. The view from 'Thrust' and 'Front of stage is too far out - you need to zoom in.
- Sound is average on mobile devices
- I can't see people watching a whole gig of circa 90 mins in this format
This has big potential but at the moment it isn't there in my view.
Interested to see on the app that many shows are selling for £9.99 a pop. Will people pay that frequently? I'm not convinced.
I can see this ending up as a subscription service like Netflix/Spotify, whereby you pay £x per month for unlimited access to shows.
Thoughts?
An excellent reply, thanks so much. I think I will bite the bullet with this one. A slow burner for sure, but big potential.
Why was it so high to start with (over £2)? Was it hype? Has something gone horribly wrong over the last year ? Or have they just not progressed as quickly as anticipated? Sorry I'm a newcomer.to this one so just trying to understand the history.
I've been following this one for a while, as a good 'thematic' option, given the projected water shortage in the coming years. I must say, the fall in share price over the last fewmonths has been more rapid than seems justified to me. I'm at the point now where the current price is a good entry point, with the potential upside far exceeding the downside. Even factoring the placing, surely the current price is far too low?? Is there something I'm missing?
You can criticise Persimmon all you like but the fact is he has been spot on with his predictions about share price. I'm saying that as an optimistic long term holder. I saw this attitude on the MATD and EVRH message boards. Anyone who dared give even a slightly negative view was dismissed as a deramper, only to be proved right long term. How about we have an impartial chat instead? It would be far more beneficial for all of us.
Great publicity. Will it translate into bigger revenues? Time will tell...
It doesn’t matter what options they have – fact is they sold a shed load at 16p and can now buy back in at 4p. We haven’t always been in a closed period, they could have bought at 6p, for example. I hope I’m wrong but something doesn’t feel right.
The off-putting thing for me is that the directors aren't getting involved at these prices, having sold a % at 16p , if I recall correctly?
