Yes mate buy if they buy the FTSE stocks now and then theres a market correction and the have to sell to buy the individual smaller companys you've got a problem..............

I agree with what your saying and hope your right but is he not going to hold blue chips instead of or as well as cash until he deploys the capital into the company's he sees opportunity???????????????? This is a question, I m not sure myself though would have to agree cash the better option for the reason you stated, I read somewhere he plans to use blue chip stocks until he gets the fund set up how he wants it.......?????? Anyone have a better understanding of what percentage will be cash what percentage blue chips???

The patient fund is aiming to achieve better returns over time, but at different periods one will be better than another performance wise!!

I m trying to figure out how much the trust will be influenced by the stock market, I know there buying some quoted company's but was hoping there would be less market manipulation with the larger amount of unquoted company's!! just bought more today I have a lot of confidence in Niel Woodford his strategy and his approach and lack of desire for the limelight!!

To have been around when the internet has been invented and can do research to find out how good Neil Woodford is, there's no garantee but got to feel for previous generations who gave there money to a strange man and often sold a bum deal. I am extremely grateful and appreciate the opportunity to leave our money with one of the best who gives a good deal to investors instead of the me me me attitude!!!
