Thanks for reply. I was thinking the same myself regarding his opinion having a lot of clout but time will tell. Will we get to find out the results a day or two after the vote do you know? I ll be honest I came here for a quick buck but it's not happening so happy of I have to ride it out long term so long as divi stays near where it is now. Would be nice for a no vote and SP to jump up but at the same time if I m going to be here long term there must be positives to come out of the boards beliefs the deal is a good one!

That's me told then Ha! I don't see why they want bg if that's the case, dosent make sense!!! I invested in this stock a little blindly got in at 1400 thinking it was the bottom, as we speak I m still comfortable with this but the next few weeks will prove interesting maybes worrying. But the price of,gas which is why there buying bg is on the rise is it not? I m lost oils down rightly so but gas is on the up and bg is a gas company. Please put me right as I know I m wrong somewhere

I agree I guess there just wanting a better price. I m one expert but the men making the deal think it makes sense and they have all the figures at hand. Shell are known for good strategies, I carnt see they still going ahead if the deal is so wrong.

Would like to think after the first quater we will see the last of this misery but just guessing

I don't know the figures but the men who do are all for it and no fools so carnt be that bad or they would pull out is my opinion

Firstly even if they did cut divi which I don't think they will it will only be marginally and will still be pulling 7+%. Secondly when the price was over 15 pounds I herd people say that you were getting 8 percent dividend, is the dividend it shows on this page correct dose anyone know please? Just bought if Friday right or wrongly, so still on a learning curve! Thanks in advance for any help!

I have put my pension in here today and not sure what the immediate future holds, will be interesting. I feel for anyone needing the money from there investment in the immediate future, but in my opinion anyone like me that dosent need the money for ten plus years will benifit from 1 the opportunity to to up cheaply and 2 shell will emerge when the price picks up with a lot more muscle and ultimately more profit per share, nothing's a certainty though or would have money in a cash isa.

What's caused it the have had support on merger and the oil price is low but was a lot lower yesterday..... :(

Would agree with The Lord very pessimistic report with ulterior motives. Bad times but think shell are in the best position to emerge stronger coming out the other end!
