Could accurately predict when recovery will happen, but the world needs oil and with lack of investment and budget cuts, the supply demand graph will cross paths sometime it's inevitable! Safe oil stocks make sense and shell are as good as it gets for me!

I paid and average including stamp duty of 1409p 4 x quarterly divi payment of 31.07 = 124.28 Yield = 1409 divided by 124.28 =11.337% dividend this is not what everyone else is getting so where am I going wrong please?

Cheers I will watch but don't like risk I was stupid enough to get into desire petroleum and learned a lesson. My research shows petra are a safe long term though volatile short term. That was a a good call they came on my radar at 63p I never bought watched then hit a pound and bought in at 78p. I m hoping they work out though nothing's a certainty. Company's like kdr are good to buy and sell just before results are announced on hope and speculation they normally rise as I m sure your aware but I m fully spent up and the markets not its norm right now so extra risky. Will be interesting to monitor for sure though thanks for the tip! Since I haven't researched how long untill they find out the results good or bad please?

Thanks that's a useful bit of info I didn't know and very usefull! Don't know if you've looked at them already but I bought petra dimonds last week there tied to china a bit a lot but hotly tipped and good statistics, worth a punt in my opinion!

Cheers will try look at them and get a better understanding it's not,something I ve looked at before! I m sure I m locked in for now as not selling at a loss but hopefully it will improve sooner rather than later. I m just thinking now maybes they want the oil to stay low to 2017 as that's when a lot of company's hedging will run out and they will go pop. They get market share and do what they need to get price back up. Not saying it will happen but it's a good strategy for them.

Bought a lot of money worth to me anyway regretting it already. Typical of me I don't see an end to it is the worrying thing like you say!
