These are merely some ramblings ...top of head stuff really
Posted in case there are newbies here...
or folk looking in to this BB who are considering buying PRD equity...
Just trying to provide some impressions...
'flavour' if you will
As some know, I have had the pleasure of meeting both Paul and Lonny
( I am a PI nowadays although perhaps atypical inasmuch as I have done quite a lot within the sector itself and have enjoyed some modest success...making several public calls ...correctly...I am an old boy trying hard to put something back...)
I like and respect them both...
they are very different characters ...
in my judgement, both are highly competent ...
highly!
I am known as a ferocious judge of manpower
I have posted that I think Paul's hydrocarbon energy discovering ability will become judged alongside that of Adnan Samarrai...
there is simply no higher praise that I am able to offer
I think that Paul will emerge as one of THE most successful businessmen in the sector...
he did good things at sdx
but was wasted there ...to put it politely
I judge them both to be very industrious and honest
They are both WYSIWYG.
I believe that Lonny hit the ground running when he joined on 12 July last year...more perhaps in due course
Some things are opaque to PIs ...
but only where necessarily so...
in building a business,it is highly undesirable that everyone should know everything at every stage...
that is not how things work in the real world of deal crafting...
This is partly for reasons of confidentiality
and partly as there are not enough hours in the day
The level of corporate 'noise' generated by PRD is wholly different to that generated by some other outfits in Morocco...'quiet as a mouse' describes it well
I think that is welcomed in morocco
One should always remember who owns the real estate...
we are merely guests...licence holders...
Paul and Lonny are immensely respectful and cognisant of that...as am I
But of course, that quietude conflicts with the desire if PIs for instant , or at least speedy, gratification
I am no different and I get frustrated...it goes with the game...I considered yesterday's RNS to be less clear than I would have liked
Neither draws much money and they are reliant on achieving surplus wealth through the shares themselves
Both have considerable skin in the game
They should both make a lot of money
A posse of flatcoats has just walked in so I should go now...
I might post more ramblings another time
