I know there's a lot of interest in dividends right now. There doesn't seem to be much talk - not anywhere that I can see - about how the approximate 30% rise in corporation tax next year is going to hit what's left of post-tax profits for dividends.

So, TheTrotsky, you're choosing an arbitrary timeline to prove...what, exactly ? Why not compare Av. three year under-performance to Lgen three year market performance ? ii are really bad at paying this dividend. Last one took over 5 days to get paid into my ISA ! So, don't panic. Also, fill in their electronic W8 ben if you've got them in an ISA or SIPP, it reduces the US tax paid.

Below is the repIy I got from ii today. We should contact DEC Investor Relations and let them know ii is making them look bad.

I have an ISA with ii and I'm still waiting too. Last dividend got paid - I think after closing UK market - but same day.

I wish I were an expert on so many companies, industries and global economics, AND had the time to post endlessly like some of the regular posters here. Oh well.

I'm with td investing and have to use the fx tab to convert the USD payment to GBP, then I'm able to withdraw funds. I don't recall having to do this before, td investing seem to spend way too much time trying to tart up their website which usually results in reduced functionality.

Sorry ldlv, there'll be no interest from the Hollywood film studios on this backwoods provincial story. A couple hundred small investors too stupid too realise that investing in a company with board members of questionable morals, exploring for oil in a country renowned for corruption and poor human rights, who time and time again turned a deaf ear to the reality of their plight, who for at least 6 months refused to accept the inevitable ? Nobody, except those couple of hundred, cares. Even I'm fast losing interest here, and that's with 'viewer participation' mode turned ON, lol. There's tens of millions in this country with no interest in the stock markets, who believe (sometimes mistakenly) that investors are rich greedy bastards who deserve to get shafted by those who are fleeter of foot and faster of thought than their victims. Then there's the potential 90% of grown up investors who avoided this puppy like the plague, and couldn't give a toss what happened here, it didn't happen to them, so who cares ? Maybe this will become a case study on how not to pick an investment, in an article relegated to the back pages of the Thames Valley telegraph, or whatever. But no blockbuster here, sorry. See, i can't find ANYWHERE that afren, or the individuals involved denied the allegations. No rns was issued disputing the claims. Now, why was that, do you suppose ? Since the allegations were in the public domain, weren't you all actually COMPLACENT in the events that took place, or at least condoning the individuals' actions in buying into the company.

I'm here because I like a good comedy, and the comedians here are some of the best. As to the statement that '.....afren was a ftse listed company and this supposedly guarantees protection against fraud...' Yeah, right, just like 'the catholic church is a church and that supposedly guarantees protection against paedophilia'. LOL. So, did you decide the stories, the concerns raised weren't true ? That the press was attempting to 'deramp' afren ? Really, why would ANYONE invest in a company where concerns had already been raised ? You're all asking questions NOW, and making your own allegations, NOW you've lost it all. Why didn't you ask those questions BEFORE investing in afren ?

that 'something fishy' was going on. Way back in 2013 it was in the public domain. Which begs the question : Why did you invest after this date, or if invested prior to 2013, why did you hold onto your shares ? Was it greed, stupidity, or ignorance ? there is NO WAY any investor in afren can claim to be an innocent victim, you have all been 'in on it' since questions were asked and allegations made in the press 2 years ago.
