The problem is when you have a political class who are renowned for lying and obfuscation (all of them but particularly Iraq) then the markets will simply not believe it until it is handed to them on a platter. Oil price in the doldrums isn’t helping but I expect that to change dramatically in the new year.

Some chunky buys today. I feel it will be a Merry Xmas for GKP holders.

Funny how all these big names get blind sided all the time. Of course they will trot out the ‘unexpected’ headlines when the opposite happens (eg.2008).

I recently posted a very interesting interview recently with a chap who laid out in great detail why he thought the opposite of a glut is set to occur next year and beyond, if anyone bothered to listen to it.

It is best not to take too seriously anything written on a share forum, for obvious reasons.

I most certainly would not buy or sell on the strength of what a random says on here. I file LSE writings under ‘bants’, nothing more.

I have seen it on other bboards. The troll’s last efforts to dis a share involves trying to scare investors through a ‘neighbouring military invasion’ story. I guess their game is nearly up.

Mr Jim, I assume from your frustrated posting style you are heavily underwater here. I think the best approach with a share like this is to mark £0 in the book and anything else is a bonus. I hope you didn’t bet the family silver.

On a positive note I can only really see a takeover for Genel in the near to medium term, I assume its existence was only due to the schism between the ICG and KRG. A few bumps that remain that once overcome will see an offer on the table. Hopefully above your abp.

Although I only recently purchased shares here I see this as a great risk reward (yes I am aware of the vagaries of trading in such a jurisdiction).

The tone deafness of the political class will have its ramifications. Aside from the energy issues, there is a lot of discontent about the immigration situation in Ireland (also in uk and Europe). Things are coming to a head.

There needs to be a way for LSE to eradicate the boxes once filtered. Every day I have to scroll past dozens. Replyers to trolls have 3 strikes and they are out, they add nothing of value and some are probably troll puppet accounts to help bury important info.
