ZYX WTF has this all got to do with UKOG? The company will have ceased to exist long before there is any chance of making money from hydrogen generation and/or storage as an alternative fuel in the UK. LOL
Nice fat dividend dropped into the account this morning and will promptly be reinvested in the twice yearly ritual. Onwards and upwards! Along with BAE my best performing share.
Been reading the Daily Mail/Express again then. LOL By all means vote for reform and make yourself useful in consigning the Tory party to electoral oblivion. You could even chip in to pay for all their lost deposits :-)
Pharmaceuticals and Biotech have been in a downturn since the 'end" of the Covid19 pandemic. Some more than others (look at Pfizer!) and so both my UK pharmaceuticals and global healthcare trusts (WWH and BBH) are all down(ish). At the moment big Tech is back in and so the PCT's and even CHRY have been on the rise. It's cyclical and at the mo both the FTSE100 and healthcare are out of favour. Do not panic we have seen this all before and AZN remains a rock-solid long-term investment. Ignore the day traders who pop up on here from time to time, they have a quite different agenda.
But lo where is Trollhunter 2? He who spouted positive c**p about this non-company for years on here, railing against the doomsters, natsayers, nimbys, swampies ad nauseum? There were others going further back, all conspicuous by their absence now as the death spiral concludes and the grim reaper beckons. LOL
I suppose if you have paid good money and/or wasted countless hours studying this sort of thing you have believe in it. However, I think it is glorious old general hindsight, the best strategist on the battlefield. Essentially the financial equivalent of homeopathy. Totally useless :-)
It's gone up a bit then, but nobody (including you) has the slightest idea why. Maybe it will form a cup handle or start using head & shoulders. LOL
"The high taxes, low investment and a benefit system which can be paying out as much as a staggering £7k a month to those who sit and do nothing...." I repeat, the VAST majority of people receiving benefits in the UK are working FULL-TIME often both parents in a family. This constant carping by the Torygraph about benefit scroungers is nothing more than a populist smokescreen to divert attention away from government failings.
Shares of British banks are undervalued partly by lingering perceptions that they are still hampered by Brexit and a negative political climate toward the institutions, Britain's financial services minister said on Tuesday.
That clown Noveckingood will be back soon telling us that AZN is grossly overvalued and he will be back in when it drops into the 800’s. LOL
Entirely predictable given the current febrile market and they did miss their target. It will settle back down and at least the reason for some of the lower profits was increased R&D expenditure ie. Reinvesting profits for future growth.
Quite right too. The vast majority of people in the country who are on state benefits are also working full-time the "working poor". I doubt very much that any of these people can afford "a couple of family hols in the med, new car every 3 years, and as many trips to restaurants as you like". The same can be said of immigration where the vast majority, some 672,000 entered the UK quite legally with the best wishes of the present government. In contrast, only 29,437 arrived on small boats. However the Tories ignore the former and scapegoat the latter for all the many ills of society that their incompetence has spawned. The sooner they are gone the better.
I remember when these boards were awash with indignation at government intervention aimed at discouraging AZN institutional shareholders from backing the Pfizer takeover bid at £55 per share. Let the market work it's magic they said, take the money and run etc. ad nauseum. Well what a difference there is now. Pfizer down 60% from its Covid vaccine highs and now a recovery play. Meanwhile AZN (which virtually gave away it's Covid19 vaccine at cost) is sitting stable at almost double the bid price and with it's oncology pipeline the envy of others. LOL
