The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Happy New Year Valirx family :)
Yes I’m still heavily invested here and am more confident than ever. Extremely happy with the direction of this company and the strategy regarding the preclinical candidates. Waiting eagerly for information regarding the new candidate for TNBC and also to see what else Suzy has decided to investigate further this year.
The only reason for being a bit quiet recently is due to finally managing to go skiing for the past couple of weeks. It’s a bit of a shock to the system (especially the legs) and apologies for not replying the other night OB…the apres ski finished me off!
Meant to say scolded earlier.
I agree with you being a true gent OB. I would like to join the queue to buy you a pint. It’s going to be a fun night.
15%! Wonder if we will see an interest rate hike next month? A building plot close by went for crazy money this week. Strange times.
Back and shoulders on the same day?! I’d be passed out on the floor…good work! Nice effort with the classes, I need to do some more, as currently just put in 20 minutes of cardio with the rower or assault bike to finish. Not on leg day, like TDK did today though! Should start doing a few classes again, as it’s cutting season until the end of December.
None of us can compete with OB’s 50 coaster flips though…that’s also so funny that you get scalded for falling out of line when weighing. I somehow imagine OB holding on to something to not get a telling off when weigh in day comes. Watching an episode of a joint Netflix season when the other half isn’t with you is the ultimate definition of cheating. Unforgivable sin…
Rhubarb, I feel exactly the same as you about the new candidate. I topped up in the following days, after the announcement was made. First top up in a long time for me. There is currently nothing else that is new on the horizon- just a lot of repurposing of existing drugs currently. I’m not saying this candidate will work out, but if it does, then we are immediately catapulted into the bigger leagues…
This was the first sign of Suzy showing how serious she was about putting the new plan into action, for me. Initially, I thought that the cenkos deal was an odd choice. However, the subsequent actions have revealed a bigger picture forming; I now really believe that the team are really going for it and aiming big, and the cenkos deal makes a lot more sense. The time was clearly not spent being idle this year.
Morning sharegnomie
Exactly my way of thinking. This company is not just about 201. There are other assets and a much bigger, much grander plan than I initially realised when first buying in here. Purely looking at the immediate income within the next few months from 201 is very short sighted (which is fine if you’re a trader and your agenda to make a quick exit after the 201 news-but I am not), when you add on the other elements then the whole picture starts to possibly look superb.
201 basically needed to provide the immediate funding to be able to develop everything else, in the worst case scenario. As it turns out, it looks like Suzy and co. have secured something that could well be extremely lucrative in an incredibly shrewd move. We won’t get a massive immediate payout, but it’s the situation of making the kid wait for two (possibly three, four, who knows?!) marshmallows instead of the immediate reward of one. It’ll be interesting to see how it pans out, as I’m more willing than ever, considering recent events over the past two months, to give it a chance long term.
D-O, I have to say that I'm a touch envious of your up and coming trip. Will you be going to the Northern side of Jackson reef to see if you can spot the hammerheads? I’ve always somehow managed to miss them myself. Lots of shark and ray sightings recently in Sharm, I hear :)
Oh and nidge…didn’t catch the lights the other night. We weren’t lucky enough in mid Wales!
Great post Gentleman. Yourself, OB and a very small handful of others have behaved decently and displayed a level of decorum that others can only dream of today.
At the end of the day, any investment decisions should be your own and you alone need to own that decision. This is AIM and blaming any person other than yourself is a bit silly. Nobody held a gun to your head and forced you to invest here or anywhere else. We are all privy to the same information and are free to do with that what we wish. For me, the only difference from yesterday, as I’m not a trader, is that we are now confirmed to be one step closer to a deal. Short term spikes and dips pass me by, as the ultimate goal for me is to be invested in a successful company and then the SP will speak for itself. I may end up with my wish, or I may not. But I’m happy that the decision to invest and to not sell a single share to date, is my own. I can’t comment or speculate on anybody else, as I only know my own intentions regarding my investment here.
There seems to have been a lot of speculation about what the information today actually means and I’m genuinely baffled as to why so many people have assumed the worst. We are yet to receive more information on this. I’m personally very happy with how things are progressing, which I have been since I bought more, immediately after Suzy announced the new breast cancer candidate they have taken on for preclinical. If people are not happy, then you are free to leave. If you are, then stay. Simple.
Tomorrow is another day.
TDK, you should be able to see them now, if you’re still awake :) Skies have cleared and apparently they’re very visible now. I saw them a few years ago in Iceland - spectacular! Best place I’ve ever been to.
Should have taken a chance on a drive to Scotland for the night…
On a different note, can anyone see the Aurora borealis tonight? Maybe in Northern England or Scotland? TDK? It’s currently very active in Iceland and meant to be making its way down further tonight. Keeping fingers crossed and debating whether to go up a mountain if the cloud clears…
